Mid-Season Patch Highlights: No Spiritborn Nerfs and Major Buffs for Every Class!

Blizzard has surprised us with balance updates in the mid-season Campfire Chat: there will be no nerfs for the Spiritborn class until Season 7! Instead, all other classes are receiving substantial buffs, aiming to bring every class closer to Spiritborn’s power level.

Barbarian Class Changes

  • UpheavalUpheaval damage increased from 100% to 120%.
  • Hammer of the AncientsHammer of the Ancients damage increased from 55% to 70%.
  • Double SwingDouble Swing damage increased from 50% to 60%.
  • RendRend Bleeding damage increased from 105% to 120%.
  • Battle-Mad AspectBattle-Mad Aspect
    • Old: Gain Berserking for [1.5-5.0] seconds after swapping weapons 8 times.
    • New: Gain 40%[x][20-40]% increased damage and Berserking for 4 seconds after swapping weapons 8 times.

Druid Class Changes

  • All Key Passives Buffed.
  • Lupine FerocityLupine Ferocity Critical Strike damage increased from 70% to 100%. Bonus damage to Injured enemies increased from 140% to 200%.
  • One With NatureOne With Nature Companion bonus damage increased from 60% to 80%.
  • Stormchaser's AspectStormchaser’s Aspect
    • Old: Tornado will seek up to [1-5] targets.
    • New: Tornado will seek up to [1-5] targets and deal 50%[x][30-50]% increased damage.
  • The BasiliskThe Basilisk
    • Old: When you first hit an enemy with an Earth Skill, Petrify them for 3 seconds. Petrifying an enemy additionally deals [715-4,290] Physical damage. (Druid Only)
    • New: When you hit a Healthy enemy with an Earth Skill, Petrify them for 3 seconds. Against Bosses, this can occur once every 5 seconds instead. Petrifying ane enemy additionally deals [2,145-6,435] Physical damage (Druid Only)

Necromancer Class Changes

  • Buffs for all Basic skills.
  • DecomposeDecompose Damage increased from 33% to 60%. Essence gain per second increased from 10-13% and now scales with Attack Speed bonus.
  • EvulsionEvulsion (Passive) buff
    • Old: Your Bone Skills deal 5%[x] increased Critical Strike Damage to Vulnerable enemies.
    • New: Your Bone Skills deal 6%[x] increased damage to Vulnerable enemies.
  • The MortacruxThe Mortacrux chance to spawn a Skeletal Simulacrum increased from 10-30% to 20-40%.
  • Howl from BelowHowl from Below Corpse Explosion damage increased from 30-50% to 50-90%.

Rogue Class Changes

  • Buffing Core Skills, Key Passives
  • Penetrating ShotPenetrating Shot Damage increased from 70% to 95%.
  • FlurryFlurry Damage increased from 120% to 150% of Vulnerable Damage Bonus.
  • VictimizeVictimize scaling increased from 120% to 150% of Vulnerable Damage Bonus.
  • PrecisionPrecision Damage scaling increased from 15% to 20% of Critical Strike Damage Bonus.

Sorcerer Class Changes

  • Fire/Cold Sorcerer Buffs

    • Old: Your Burning effectd deal 60%[x] increased damage, and an additional 4%[x] per unique source of Burning you have applied to the enemy.
    • New: Your Burning effects deal 60%[x] increased damage an an additional 25%[x] of your Damage to Burning Enemies bonus.
  • AvalancheAvalanche
    • Old: Lucky Hit: Your Frost Skills have up to 10% chance to make your next cast of Ice Shards, Frozen Orb, or Blizzard consume no Mana and deal 60%[x] increased damage. Chance is doubled against Vulnerable enemies.
    • New: Lucky Hit: Your Frost Skills have up to a 30% chance to make your next cast of Ice Shards, Frozen Orb, or Blizzard consume no Mana and deal 60%[x] increased damage. Damage is increased by an additional 25%[x] against Vulnerable enemies.
  • Aspect of Piercing ColdAspect of Piercing Cold
    • Old: Ice Shards pierce [3-19] times, dealing [25-5%] less damage per subsequent enemy hit.
    • New: Ice Shards pierce 10 times, dealing [4-10]% more damage per subsequent enemy hit.
  • New Legendary Aspects introduced in Vessel of Hatred now scale based on Charged Bolts and Incinerate damage, e.g. Aspect of Charged FlashAspect of Charged Flash.

Spiritborn Class Changes

  • Small buffs to skills that have seen less success.
  • Razor WingsRazor Wings Damage increased from 50% to 75%. No longer has a short cooldown between casts.
  • Withering FistWithering Fist Poisoning damage increased from 30% to 36%. Slow increased from 30% to 40%.
  • Sharp Withering FistSharp Withering Fist Targets spread to increased from 3 to 5 enemies.
  • Toxic SkinToxic Skin Passive damage increased from 30% to 36%.
  • Enhanced Toxic SkinEnhanced Toxic Skin Bonus Toxin damage increased from 100% to 120%.
  • Measured Toxic SkinMeasured Toxic Skin Damage increased from 15% to 36%.
