<p>How much Burning Aether have you collected in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a><em> </em>Infernal Hordes? <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/insane-node-combo-leads-to-a-new-infernal-hordes-aether-record/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">We recently reported players reaching almost 1,800 Burning Aether</a>. And again players are discussing runs with up to 1,600 Burning Aether, while the average sits around 800 per run. The key to get the most rewards? <strong>Picking the right Infernal Offers!</strong></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Are Infernal Hordes?</h2>



<p>If you are not familiar with <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/infernal-hordes-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infernal Hordes</a>, it is a mini-dungeon activity where you battle through waves of enemies, leading up to a final boss fight. Each run rewards you with Burning Aether, which you can spend at the end to claim gear, gold, or crafting materials.</p>



<p>The fun comes in choosing <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/infernal-hordes-guide/#infernal_offers" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infernal Offers</a>, modifiers that appear after each wave. These offers include:</p>



<ul>
<li><strong>A Boon:</strong> A positive effect that can help you gain more Burning Aether.</li>



<li><strong>A Bane:</strong> A negative effect that increases the difficulty.</li>
</ul>



<p>The right combination of <strong>Boons and Banes</strong> determines how much Burning Aether you will collect, but be careful: some choices can make the fight significantly harder.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Best Infernal Offers for More Burning Aether</h2>



<p>Many players recommend focusing on <strong>Hellborne Boons</strong>, as they tend to be the most rewarding for extra Aether. However, <strong>Spires-related Boons</strong> <strong>are best avoided</strong>, as they slow down waves and make fights more difficult without a big payoff.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Hit 1,600 Burning Aether</h2>



<p>Most players are averaging 800 Aether per run, but some have reported breaking the <strong>1,600 Aether</strong> mark. A recent Reddit discussion highlights how players are optimizing their Infernal Offers to hit this number. If you are looking to increase your Aether income, it is worth checking out community strategies to improve your own runs.</p>

How Players Are Earning 1,200+ Burning Aether in Infernal Hordes


<p>Do you find yourself overwhelmed by the sheer amount of loot in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a>? You are not alone. Many of us players in the community have been asking for a loot filter, hoping to avoid picking up every single dropped item. With Season 7 bringing even more loot through <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/headhunts-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Headhunts</a> and other activities, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-players-are-frustrated-with-season-7s-whispers-grind/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">frustration is growing among players</a>.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Diablo 4 Still Does Not Have a Loot Filter</h2>



<p>During the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/burning-questions-developer-qa/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recent developer Q&amp;A</a>, the team addressed the topic. Their current approach is to make sure that all loot has value, through wearing, salvaging, or selling. So that <strong>even unwanted items contribute to the game&#8217;s economy</strong>. The concern is that a loot filter could disrupt this system, making it harder for players to gather materials when working on their builds.</p>



<p><strong>Unlike many ARPGs, Diablo 4 still does not have a loot filter</strong>, despite Diablo 3 lacking one as well. Games like <a href="https://www.poe-vault.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Path of Exile</a> and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/last-epoch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Last Epoch</a> let players customize loot displays to highlight valuable drops and ignore the rest. Want to see only uniques? Searching for a specific legendary aspect? A loot filter would make that easy by highlighting what you need and hiding the rest. You would miss out on salvage materials, but in the late stages of the endgame, you likely will not need many more materials anyway.</p>



<p><strong>At this point, some players are willing to settle for alternatives</strong> to a full loot filter. One suggestion is adding a search or filter function to the legendaries that get sent to the mailbox. This would let you pick out only the items you actually want, instead of having to claim everything at once; essentially mimicking what a loot filter does, just in a different and less convenient way.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Could a Loot Filter Happen in the Future?</h2>



<p>Even though we did not get a loot filter so far, the developers are not entirely opposed to the idea. They have made it clear that they are open to community feedback and will consider changes if necessary. Finding the right balance between convenience and maintaining the in-game economy remains the main challenge.</p>

Diablo 4 Devs Address Loot Filter Requests – Will It Happen?


<p>Blizzard released their latest <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-patch-2-1-3-notes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">patch notes yesterday</a>, and it seems they are finally addressing one of <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a>&#8216;s most disappointing shrine effects. In Patch 2.1.3 (March 4), Conduit Shrine damage will now &#8220;aggressively scale&#8221; with player level and Paragon level, with the patch notes even stating that on Torment III, Conduit damage will be roughly 37x stronger. This massive boost is supposed to fix what made Conduit Shrines a letdown in late-game content.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Conduit Shrines Felt Useless in Endgame</h2>



<p>On paper, Conduit Shrines should be an exciting power-up, turning you into a living storm that zaps everything in sight. But in reality, they barely scaled with player strength, making them nearly useless beyond early-game. <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/world-tier-difficulty/#torment_difficulties" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">By the time you hit Torment IV</a>, your normal abilities were far stronger than the shrine&#8217;s weak lightning strikes.</p>



<p>On top of that, activating a Conduit Shrine actually slowed you down. It removed your normal skills, locked your movement speed, and prevented you from using evasion abilities, making it a terrible choice for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/speed-farming-tier-list/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">speed-farming builds</a>. Many of us players actively avoided clicking on these shrines, because it feels like they were more of a penalty than a buff.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Will This Change Make Conduit Shrines Worth Using?</h2>

<p>With 37x stronger damage scaling, Conduit Shrines should finally feel powerful at high levels. However, damage was never the only issue. The shrine still forces you into a fixed playstyle, disabling your build and mobility skills. One <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/1j0ei3l/comment/mfb975i/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=web3x&amp;utm_name=web3xcss&amp;utm_term=1&amp;utm_content=share_button" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">highly upvoted Reddit comment</a> pretty much sums it up: &#8220;The problem is that it takes your build away from you.&#8221;</p>



<p>That said, <strong>this is a clear sign Blizzard is listening to our feedback</strong>. If this change works as intended, Conduit Shrines could go from a &#8216;meme-tier&#8217; buff to something actually worth picking up. If the shrine becomes a must-have or remains a frustrating slowdown&#8230; well, we will find out soon.</p>

<p>Blizzard has now officially confirmed that <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> Season 8 will not start as planned. In a recent tweet, Rod Fergusson, General Manager of Diablo, announced that the new season will take a couple of extra weeks before going live. <strong>Unfortunately, no new date was given</strong>; this suggests that Season 7 will continue beyond April 29 (its recently extended end date).</p>

<p>The wording suggests that the delay is intended to improve the season&#8217;s quality rather than being a response to unforeseen issues. The <strong>mention of an &#8220;old friend&#8221; could also hint at the return of a familiar character</strong> or feature in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season</a> 8.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What This Means for Us Players</h2>



<p>With <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4s-season-7-end-date-extended-by-two-weeks/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 7&#8217;s end date already extended to April 29</a>, it is not very clear if Blizzard will add more content to fill the extra gap or simply keep the current season running longer. We are also still waiting for the long-promised <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4s-2025-content-roadmap-is-almost-here-get-ready/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4 roadmap</a>, which could give a better idea of what is ahead for the game in 2025.</p>

Diablo 4 Season 8 Delay Confirmed – Here Is What We Know


<p>We&#8217;re getting quite a few questions answered in the video below, as the devs address some, well, burning, issues! </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Highlights</h2>



<p>The video starts off great as we get to hear about the messy <strong>buff bar</strong> and how it&#8217;s being addressed. New buffs are getting different visual and sound queues in addition to the icon and the buff bar itself is also being improved. The <strong>Armory </strong>is definitely getting updates and improvements, as the current version is just the core functionality and will be iterated on. We also get what seems like a pretty solid no on the <strong>loot filter</strong> question, at least for now. <strong>Profane Mindcages</strong> were a hit with the community, so they&#8217;re definitely looking at bringing something similar back. </p>

This limited-time event will last for one week. While it&#8217;s live, there&#8217;s an increased chance to see packs of Treasure Goblins, encounter Greed Shrines, and to see increased Treasure Goblins when fighting the Avarice world boss.</p>



<p>March of the Goblins introduces the following new goblin variations that <strong>will remain in the game after the event ends</strong>:</p>

<p>From <b>March 4, 10 a.m. PST—March 11, 10 a.m. PDT</b>, a variety of Goblins are wreaking havoc across Sanctuary through every town and hovel. The Goblins have multiplied like, well, Goblins. As you progress through the Reputation track, you’ll increase your chances of cleaving them from their Treasure Bags. Hunt them across every World Tier, in the Overworld and deepest dungeons, and across both Eternal and Seasonal Realms.</p>
<p>While March of the Goblins is live, there’s an increased chance to see larger packs of Treasures Goblins, encounter Greed Shrines, and to see increased Treasure Goblins when facing off against Avarice, the Gold-Cursed World Boss.</p>
<h3>Introducing New Goblin Variants</h3>
<p>From deep within the underground chasms and forgotten lairs of Sanctuary’s underbelly, Goblins have been mutating and diversifying. The townsfolk talk of strange and wonderful creatures, complete with sacks filled to abundance. These new Goblin variants seem to be more rare than their brown bagged counterpart, so keep a keen eye for a glint of them scurrying through the underbrush.</p>

For those Wanderers that often travel at their maximum Obol capacity, this bag can be still collected in your inventory regardless of whether you are at maximum Obol capacity.</p>

<p>Remember, these new Goblin variants will stay across all Realms after March of the Goblins has ended but the best time to hunt them is now! Their increased numbers will not be around forever, even though there will be no end to the hunting of these foul miscreants.</p>
<p><b>Climb the Goblin Slaying Ranks</b></p>
<p>Being steadfast in your eradication of these hooded hoodlums grants you Reputation, which earns you great rewards. Your Reputation progress is tied to your individual prowess for culling Treasure Goblins, so slay to your hearts content to earn to complete it and earn a Resplendent Spark.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that as you slay through the ranks, the chance for Treasure Bags to drop from the Treasure Goblins increase as well.</p>

March of Goblins Hits Sanctuary Starting March 4


<p>It looks like <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4 Season</a> 7 will be running a little longer than expected. Players have noticed that the original end date of April 15 has been <strong>pushed back to April 29</strong>, adding two extra weeks to the current timeline. </p>
