During Lunar Awakening, all Shrines have been replaced with Lunar Shrines—which bestow a 100% experience bonus when activated—with an updated appearance to honor the year of the snake! Lunar Shrines function similarly to typical Shrines, but they have been augmented for an extra punch to celebrate this festive event. These shrines also have a unique Map icon, so you can spot them from a distance.</p>
<p>Lunar Shrines provide an exciting bonus effect on top of their regular Shrine power; the Lunar Shrine effects are listed below.</p>
<h4>Augmented Lunar Shrine Effects:</h4>

<li>Artillery Shrine – Casts have a chance to summon a holy bomb.</li>
<li>Blast Wave Shrine – Each explosion summons a cluster bombardment.</li>
<li>Channeling Shrine- Increased attack speed and chance to reset cooldowns.</li>
<li>Conduit Shrine – Summon frequent, powerful, shocking strikes.</li>
<li>Greed Shrine – Chance to summon a Treasure Goblin. While the Shrine is active, kills summon a Treasure Goblin.</li>
<li>Lethal Shrine – Chance to instantly execute a struck monster, causing Fear on surrounding monsters. Note: this includes Elites, but excludes Bosses and other Players.</li>

<p>What most people do when they start a Pit run is they attack the very first mob with a cooldown spell which grants them very little Main Stat stacks and you end up with a negative snaphot. This is something you should absolutely avoid.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Maximize Your Main Stat Stacks?</h2>

<p>Further attacks will refresh the duration of your buff, regardless of how many mobs you attack. If you attacked 23 monsters at the beginning with a cooldown skill, the positive snapshot will consist of 23 stacks of the buff and you can refresh it with just 1 monster.</p>

How to Increase Your Damage by Up to 20% in Diablo 4 Season 7


<p>Farming Grim Favors is especially important during the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/witchcraft-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season of Witchcraft</a>, as they are key to progressing through the season questline and reputation board. On top of that, the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/latest-season-journey-for-diablo-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">season journey</a> requires you to collect Fugitive Heads and raise your reputation with the Coven. So, if you want to speed things up, here is what you should focus on.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Main Priorities</h2>



<ul>
<li><strong>Focus on High-Favor Whispers</strong>
<ul>
<li>Stick to deep red, 5-Favor Whispers, especially the Fugitive Whisper objectives in Headhunt zones. </li>



<li>Skip 1-Favor Whispers (e.g.: Frogs, Tangled Roots, Rituals) since they are not worth the time.</li>



<li>The whispers to prioritize are:
<ul>
<li>Patrol > Motes > Scour > Critter Escort > Wisp Escort.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li><strong>Try to Make the Most of Headhunts</strong>

<li>Always go for the zone with the least time left (unless it is under 5 minutes), so you can get in as many runs as possible.</li>

<li><strong>Click on All the Cocoons</strong>

<li>If a cocoon spawns in a Headhunt zone, drop what you are doing and take it down!</li>



<li>Turn in Grim Favors before engaging to avoid missing out on Fugitive Whisper credit if your bar is full.</li>

<li><strong>Use the Draught of Whispers Elixir</strong>
<ul>
<li>The elixir doubles your chances of finding Forgotten Altars in instanced/dungeon content and boosts Fugitive Head spawns by 50%. <strong>Only use this elixir when you do Nightmare Dungeons, Pit runs, Rootholds, or Headhunts.</strong> Forgotten Altars show up on your minimap, so keep an eye out for them!</li>



<li><strong>Use it in Torment 1 or higher</strong> for the best results.</li>



<li>It stacks with regular elixirs, so always run two elixir buffs at once!</li>

<li>If you have Whispering Keys, use them during Headhunts for a chance at better rewards.</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What to Avoid</h2>



<ul>
<li><strong>Do not stay in the same zone after clearing the first Cocoon.</strong> A new Headhunt zone pops up every 10 minutes, so once you take down a Cocoon, move on! This way, you can keep farming Fugitive Whispers, which give 5 Grim Favors each.</li>



<li><strong>Joining a Cocoon event with a full Grim Favor bar</strong>. Always turn in your Grim Favors at a Raven or the Tree before jumping into a Cocoon fight, or you will miss out on the rewards!</li>



<li><strong>Moving too far away from the Fugitive Whisper boss</strong>. If the boss is a Fugitive Head, you need to stay close &#8211; otherwise, you will not get the head drop!</li>

<p>Today&#8217;s news is a bit of a surprise, as Adam Jackson, the Lead Class Designer for Diablo IV, has announced that he is leaving the company after 15 years of working at Blizzard Entertainment. He shared the news just a few hours ago on <a href="https://x.com/AZJackson85" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Twitter/X</a>, confirming that he is moving on from working on Diablo 4.</p>



<p>If you have not heard the name Adam Jackson before, here is a quick rundown: He first joined Blizzard in 2009, working in customer support, before eventually transitioning into game design. <strong>He became part of the Diablo 4 team in January 2021 as a Senior Game Designer, stepped into the Lead Class Designer role in 2022, and finally his current position as Lead Live Designer since 2024.</strong> His work played a major part in shaping class balance, skill trees, and core mechanics. Before working on Diablo, he worked on <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/heroes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Heroes of the Storm</a>, where he was known for his engagement with the player community.</p>

<p>At this time, Adam has not shared any information or details regarding where he is headed next or why he is leaving, but his exit definitely signifies a pretty big change for Diablo 4&#8217;s development team. With seasons releasing frequently and expansions yet to come, it will be interesting to see how Blizzard handles class design moving forward and who will fill the role after Adam is gone.</p>

<p>Adam Jackson’s impact on Diablo 4 was huge, so his departure leaves a lot of questions for the future. We will just have to wait and see what comes next.</p>


Adam Jackson Leaves Blizzard – What Is Next for Diablo 4?


<p>Many Necromancers spotted an issue with the <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Rings_53.webp" alt="Ring of Mendeln"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Ring" data-item-quality="unique">Ring of Mendeln</span></span></a>, as it was barely working at half capacity. Blizzard first said they were looking into the issue and have now confirmed they are working on a fix. Unfortunately, said fix will not be coming in next patch, AKA 2.1.1. This is not the mid-season patch, which should be 2.1.5, so it should be coming soon. By 2.1.2, Ring of Mendeln should be fixed. </p>

Mendeln Ring Fix Not Coming With Next Patch, 2.1.1, Still Worked On


<p>You can never really get enough Obducite really, at least until you have all your gear perfectly masterworked! Well, today we have a really great tip for another source of the precious material, as something seems to have changed in Season 7. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Den</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/The_Painless/">The_Painless</a> spotted this little Season 7 update and decided to share. The mercenary headquarters in Nahantu, the Den, actually had one of its caches upgraded. The Masterworking cache always dropped some Obducite, around 20. However, that amount has been dramatically buffed! <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/The_Painless/">The_Painless</a> reports there are three quantities you can get: 750, 1000, or 1250 at Torment 4. These amounts are significantly lower at lower Torment tiers. How much you get exactly seems random, but considering you probably don&#8217;t need the mercenary coins that much, it&#8217;s basically free. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How To Get the Cache</h2>



<p>You&#8217;ll need to do a little work to get the Masterworking Cache to appear, however. If you&#8217;ve been upgrading your mercenaries regularly, this will already be done. To get the cache at all you need Varyana (the Barbarian/berserker) at rank 8 rapport. If you&#8217;re solo she&#8217;ll get the most experience as your main mercenary, but in a group, she has to be the secondary aka reinforcement.</p>



<p>Additionally, you&#8217;ll want all your mercenaries to be maximum rapport level, as each grants more &#8220;slots&#8221; to the vendor, for more chances at the cache appearing when you restock the contents. You can see your bartering upgrades total rank at the bottom of the vendor. Each 10 levels of each mercenary add a rank. </p>

Big Obducite Buff: Get Yours From the Mercenary Shop (but There’s a Small Catch)!


<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/kurast-undercity-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kurast Undercity</a> is one of the activities that easily gets overlooked, especially now that most of us are too busy farming bosses or running content we know is a sure thing. But lately, some posts on the Diablo 4 subreddit have been shining some light on the &#8220;<mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-unique-item-color">Unique</mark> Tribute&#8221; for Undercity runs, and the loot potential is definitely worth pointing out.</p>

<p>Another player also emphasized how underrated Unique <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/kurast-undercity-guide/#tributes_and_bargains" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tributes and Kurast Undercity</a> are, sharing how they got two Mythics to drop at the end of the run:</p>

<p>Of course, it is worth mentioning that RNG is still very much a factor. Some players have had insane luck farming Mythics this way, while others have gone through several runs without anything noteworthy. But that is just the nature of the game.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Is It Worth It?</h2>



<p>If you have a few Unique Tributes, running Kurast Undercity can definitely be worth your time. Not only can you land get powerful items, but Obducite Tribute (Tribute of Refinement) runs are also more efficient for farming <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Materials_38.webp" alt="Obducite"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Crafting Material" data-item-quality="rare">Obducite</span></span></a> compared to spamming <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nightmare Dungeons</a> over and over. If you have been investing your <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/season-blessings-in-diablo-4/#unlocking_season_blessings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Smoldering Ashes</a> into Obducite gains, you will also get more value from these runs, which makes them a much better choice than Nightmare Dungeons or even <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/infernal-hordes-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Infernal Hordes</a>. </p>

<p>However, if your main goal is farming Forgotten Altars to unlock <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/witchcraft-guide/#lost_powers" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lost Witchcraft Powers</a>, then yes, Nightmare Dungeons remain your best bet until you have collected the powers you need.</p>

Kurast Undercity: Unique Tributes Offer High Chances for Mythic Drops


<p>The Diablo 4 Armory feature is undoubtedly the best addition yet, offering us the ability to swap builds efficiently. However, as shared on Reddit, there are still several ways the Armory can be refined to better meet player needs. Below, we&#8217;ll dive into key areas where players feel improvements are necessary.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Players Like About the Armory</h2>



<p>The consensus is that the Armory is a step in the right direction. Being able to save and swap builds on the fly has been long requested. However, the feedback points to several shortcomings that prevent it from fully streamlining the gameplay experience.</p>

<li><strong>Gems and Runes Aren&#8217;s Saved Correctly</strong>
<ul>
<li>One of the main frustrations players have is that gems and runes aren&#8217;t saved with the build. If you remove gems from gear in one build, they are also removed from the Armory loadout. This creates complications, especially since some high-cost gems need to be reused across multiple builds.</li>



<li>The Diablo 3 system, which automatically tracked where gems were stored (Inventory, Stash, or other gear) and reapplied them during swaps, would be a much-needed improvement.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li><strong>Mercenaries Are Missing</strong>
<ul>
<li>While this wasn&#8217;t a feature in Diablo III, many players have requested the ability to include Mercenaries and Followers in saved builds. This would allow them to have consistent loadouts.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li><strong>Seasonal Powers Are Not Saved</strong>
<ul>
<li>Season 7 Witch Powers and potentially, other seasonal powers, are not automatically loaded when switching between loadouts. This leads to additional manual setup, taking away from the seamless swapping experience.</li>
