Monsters are getting a lot more aggressive here in Season 7 of Diablo 4! We’ve already seen them peacefully moving into towns, but not it seems they’re reverting to their old ways!
Good Thing It Wasn’t Hardcore
DrunkenLynel was heading back to town using their regular portal. And, as you do, they went to the bathroom after activating the portal. When they came back, however, something was very much amiss.
It’s unclear what exactly happened. Whether it was enemies chasing the player down into town as DrunkenLynel assumes, or perhaps it was the town-dwelling ones that turned on the player, the end result was the same. A very dead player. Others in the thread also commented it happened to them, so it’s not a one-off occurrence.
So, if you’re playing Hardcore, there’s another reason to be VERY careful. Even if you’ve successfully town portaled, maybe stick around a few seconds to verify you are truly safe.
