Let’s ‘talk’ about Forgotten Altars and the Draught of Whispers in Diablo 4 Season 7!
Forgotten Altars are essential for unlocking Lost Witchcraft Powers. If you want to get the best powers Season 7 has to offer, you will need to hunt these altars down.
The Draught of Whispers is a new elixir and part of Diablo 4’s Season 7. The reason the elixir is an important part of this season is because it can significantly boost your chance of finding Forgotten Altars or Fugitive Heads. To be precise: “The Draught of Whispers doubles the chances of encountering a Lost Altar in Sanctuary’s many dungeons. Additionally, it increases the chances of encountering a Fugitive Head by 50%. The effect lasts for one hour and can be used alongside other elixirs“.
The important part to note here is that you can stack the Draught of Whispers with standard elixirs, giving you two elixir buffs at once. So, make sure to take advantage of this throughout the season!
How to Obtain the Draught of Whispers
The Elixir can be obtained through various methods:
- Exposed Roots in Headhunt Zones: Make sure to interact with Exposed Roots you see during Headhunts and defeat all enemies that emerge, as they can reward you with this elixir.
- Whisper Caches: Caches earned through completing Whisper objectives have a chance to drop the Draught of Whispers.
- Coven Reputation Caches: By raising your reputation with the Coven through seasonal activities, you can earn Coven’s Caches, which may contain the elixir.
When Should You Use the Elixir?
For the best results, drink the Draught of Whispers before heading into dungeons or participating in Headhunts. In dungeons, it improves your chances of finding Forgotten Altars. If you are grinding Headhunt Zones, it increases your chances of encountering Fugitive Heads. Both are needed for unlocking Lost Witchcraft Powers and crafting Occult Gems.
And once again, remember: this elixir’s effects stack with standard elixirs. Always keep two elixir buffs running to fully maximize your seasonal interactions and rewards!
