How to Target Farm New Uniques in Season 7


<p>Some players are having trouble salvaging items after they&#8217;ve been saved to an Armory loadout. Luckily, there&#8217;s an easy fix! </p>



<p>When you save an item to an Armor profile/loadout, it automatically marks that item as favorite. The Armory uses its own icons to mark items that are part of a loadout, which makes it hard to notice that the item is also marked as favorite. You can&#8217;t sell favorite items, but you can unfavorite them, as <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/Saucermote/">Saucermote</a> found out after some poking around. </p>

How to Salvage Armory-Marked Loadout Items


<p>It seems players are having trouble finding the seasonal quest and were worried it was missing for them. As it turns out, you need to have finished the Vessel of Hatred prologue in order for it to show up. If you own the expansion, that is. So it&#8217;s a fast an easy fix, as Blizzard explain:</p>

How to Start Season 7 Quest if You’re Having Issues


<p>The Season of Witchcraft is here and it seems there&#8217;s quite the difficulty spike at the very start. </p>



<p>The season hasn&#8217;t been here long but players are already learning that going back to zero is quite a different experience from their super-geared high-level antics. The start of the seasonal questline seems to be doing a reality check, as the first enemy we have to defeat in it is racking up quite the kill count. </p>

<p>It seems &#8220;Hard&#8221; difficulty is actually earning its name for once! The low levels and basically no build to speak of at this early stage are throwing players off and causing them to fail the very first quest. There are actually four difficulties you can select with a new character, so Hard isn&#8217;t even in the upper spectrum of difficulty, so you can imagine the surprise players felt when dying to an Enraged Headless Husk. </p>

<p>In the end, players are reducing the difficulty to Normal just to be done with it. After a few levels, the issue resolves itself so it&#8217;s not exactly a problem, but it&#8217;s really interesting to see a difficulty spike and players outright dying this early. </p>

On top of that, because of the similarities in talents and gear, you can begin using your earthquake Barbarian as you level up, even before reaching the endgame.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Spiritborn &#8211; Razor Wings</h3>



<p>Spiritborn players have a very solid option this season: <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/razor-wings-spiritborn-build/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Razor Wings</a>. <p>Blizzard&#8217;s internal test environment, known as fenrisvendor3, has been updated to Patch 2.3, skipping over 2.2 entirely. The environment typically moves to the next season&#8217;s version when the current one&#8217;s launching, meaning Season 7 (Patch 2.1) is rolling out today as expected. However, the unexpected jump from 2.1 to 2.3 raises some eyebrows.</p>



<p>One possibility is that a larger-than-usual-mid-season update, potentially labeled as 2.2, could be on the horizon before Season 8. Alternatively, this could be a simple internal numbering change, but given Blizzard&#8217;s track record, such an oversight seems unlikely.</p>

Diablo 4 Season 7 Nightmare Dungeon Rotation


<p>With Diablo 4 <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/witchcraft-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 7</a> kicking off today, let&#8217;s take a moment to revisit the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4s-welcome-back-boost-level-50-and-altars-of-lilith-unlocked/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Welcome Back Boost topic</a> and clear up any confusion about how it works, especially for those new to the game or returning after some time away.</p>



<p>The Welcome Back Boost is a feature for the Eternal Realm that lets you quickly bring one character up to Level 50 (or two characters if you own <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/vessel-of-hatred-overview/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vessel of Hatred</a>). You can pick from three builds specific to your class and get a full set of Legendary gear. It also unlocks all Altars of Lilith and gives you plenty of resources, making it easier to jump back in without grinding from scratch.</p>



<p>But <strong>here is the important part:</strong> the boost is only for the Eternal Realm. It will not work on the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-season-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Seasonal Realm</a>, where you will always need to create a fresh character starting at Level 1 for each new season. This system keeps the Seasonal Realm fair, with everyone starting on the same footing to experience the new content, rewards, and challenges.</p>

<p>Blizzard&#8217;s decision to keep the boost restricted to the Eternal Realm helps to make sure that the Seasonal Realm remains fair and competitive for everyone, staying true to the franchise&#8217;s tradition of seasonal resets. This approach has been consistent across previous Diablo games, and there is no indication that it will ever change.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Use the Welcome Back Boost?</h2>



<p>The boost is great for anyone wanting to pick up where they left off in the Eternal Realm, especially if you have been away for a while because it provides a fast way to run new, higher-level, content, try out new builds, and enjoy the game without starting over.</p>



<p>On the other hand, if you are looking to check out Season 7&#8217;s new mechanics and rewards, you will need to start fresh in the Seasonal Realm. The boost might sound tempting, but it&#8217;s important to remember that it is only available for Eternal Realm characters.</p>


Reminder: No Character Boost in the Seasonal Realm!


<p>One of the surprise builds to come out of the Season 7 PTR has to be <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/cataclysm-druid-build/">Cataclysm Druid</a>. On one hand it makes some sense as Ultimates got a lot of buffs this season, but it&#8217;s actually the seasonal powers that push this one over the line. That and a change to a Unique ring, so let&#8217;s see what&#8217;s going on here. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Though?</h2>



<p>Cataclysm was already a build for Druids, but it was pretty niche and certainly not the top tier. This time around it&#8217;s almost certainly looking to be <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/cataclysm-druid-build/">the best Druid build this season and it may also clinch the title of best overall</a>. Outside of pure power, it&#8217;s just a very breezy build. You do some pre-cast-buffs to set it up, cast the Ultimate, and then just walk around and watch everything die! </p>

<p>Some of the main reasons behind its emergence are its huge AoE, permanent uptime for an Ultimate, and some snapshotting shenanigans that boost its damage. One particular Unique change in the latest patch notes put it over the top, however. And on top of all that, there&#8217;s even some very handy Witchcraft powers to boost it all. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Makes It Work</h2>



<p>Let&#8217;s get into the details shall we? <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-name="Cataclysm" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DUI_Skills_Druid_7.webp" alt="Cataclysm"><span class="tooltip-spell-name d4-text">Cataclysm</span></span></a> is a Druid Ultimate Skill that sends out Twisters and Lightning Bolts over a long duration. There&#8217;s several parts of this that come together to make for strong damage:</p>



<ul>
<li>You can maintain full uptime on Cataclysm so it&#8217;s always killing things in a large area, or bolting down important enemies. This takes some gear investment for duration and cooldown reduction, but is achievable.</li>



<li>Similar to <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" data-tooltip-name="Hurricane" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DUI_Skills_Druid_31.webp" alt="Hurricane"><span class="tooltip-spell-name d4-text">Hurricane</span></span></a>, you can &#8216;snapshot&#8217; Overpower and Critical Strike for the entire duration of the cataclysm&#8217;s damage. This is easily done with the <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Runes_V2_25.webp" alt="Xan"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Rune of Invocation" data-item-quality="legendary">Xan</span></span></a> Rune. In fact, recast refreshes of your Cataclysm while in the same area keep the Xan effect so it&#8217;s easy to maintain after set up.</li>
</ul>



<p>Those are the basics, but there&#8217;s even more to it in this season. </p>

<li>The <a class="icy-gtnbrg-link" href="#"><span class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip"><img decoding="async" class="icy-gtnbrg-tooltip-img" src="https://static.icy-veins.com/wp/static/d4/latest/images/icons/2DInventory_Rings_67.webp" alt="Mjölnic Ryng"><span class="tooltip-spell-name" data-item-type="Ring" data-item-quality="unique">Mjölnic Ryng</span></span></a> has a new effect: Cataclysm receives your Lightning Bolt benefits. This gives a number of new sources of easy-to-access multipliers and additives to Cataclysm, including:

<p>Altogether Cataclysm is getting pushed from a niche build into a full-fledged powerhouse capable of pushing the highest content competitively. For seasonal players, witch powers are incredibly favorable to Ultimate Builds.
