All Sorcerer Changes in Season 5 Detailed

And we’re finally on Sorcerers, as we’ve now covered all the datamined class changes coming with Season 5, based on the PTR. We have changes to Aspects and skills of all elements (mostly buffs), as well as the new additions, and even all the individual skill rank modifications.

Sorcerer Aspects and Changes in Season 5

  • Aspect Of Abundant Energy – Crackling Energy has a 50% chance to deal 40% increased damage and chain to an additional enemy.
  • Winter Touch Aspect (New)When you Freeze an enemy, you deal 3% of Weapon Damage Cold damage to them. This effect is treated as a Frost Skill.
  • Jolting Aspect (New)Every 1.0 seconds, you zap a nearby enemy for 2% of Weapon Damage Lightning damage. This effect is treated as a Shock Skill.
  • Firestarter Aspect (New)When newly Burning an enemy, you deal an additional 2% of Weapon Damage Fire damage to them. This effect is treated as a Pyromancy Skill.
  • Aspect Of Binding Embers – Flame Shield lets grants you move unhindered Unhindered through enemies. for its duration. Enemies you move through while Flame Shield is active are Immobilized for 3.0 seconds.
  • Charged Aspect – Collecting Crackling Energy increases your Movement Speed by 25% 30% for 8 seconds.
  • Aspect Of Conflagration – While channeling Incinerate, your Burning damage is increased by 40%. Enemies damaged by Incinerate explode, Burning all surrounding enemies for 2% of Weapon Damage over 6 seconds. This effect Can only occurs occur once per every 3 seconds.
  • Aspect Of Engulfing Flames – You deal 30% 45% increased Burning damage to enemies below 50% Life. Additionally, you deal 100% increased Burning damage to enemies while they are affected by more Damage Over Time than their total Life.
  • Glacial Aspect – When you cast Blizzard it will periodically spawn exploding Ice Spikes that deal 1% of Weapon Damage damage. Your Ice Spikes Chill deal 15% increased damage to Frozen enemies. enemies for 15%.
  • Aspect Of The Frozen Wake – While Ice Armor is active, you leave behind exploding Ice Spikes that deal 1% of Weapon Damage damage. Your Ice Spikes Chill deal 15% increased damage to Frozen enemies enemies. for 15%.
  • Aspect Of Splintering EnergyCasting Critical Hits with Lightning Spear cause always spawns an additional Lightning lightning Spear to arc from it dealing 0% of Weapon Damage damage to its target and up to 5 other enemies. This damage is increases increased by your Critical Strike damage Damage Bonus. with Shock Skills by 25% for 3 seconds
  • Aspect Of Efficiency – Casting a Basic Skill reduces the Mana cost of your next Core or Mastery Skill by 25.0%. 50.0%.
  • Aspect Of Tenuous Agility (New)Gain 20.0% Movement Speed. This bonus is doubled if you haven’t used a Defensive Skill in the last 8 seconds.
  • Aspect Of The Firebird (New)Gain the Flame Shield Enchantment for free. When Flame Shield activates, Meteorites fall around you dealing 1% of Weapon Damage Fire damage.
  • Aspect Of The Orange Herald (New)Lucky Hit: Up to a 12.5% chance to reduce the Cooldown of your Ultimate Skill by 2 seconds. Can only happen once per Skill cast.
  • Aspect Of Elemental Acuity (New)Casting a Pyromancy, Shock, or Frost Skill increases your Mana Regeneration by 25% for 5 seconds, once per element. At maximum stacks, the total bonus is increased to 150% for 10 seconds, but all stacks expire afterwards.
  • Lightning Rod Aspect (New)Chain Lightning has a 35% chance to chain an additional time when hitting Bosses or Crowd Controlled enemies and prefers them as targets.

Non-Class-Specific Aspects and Changes in Season 5

  • Aspect Of Inevitable Fate (New)When an enemy falls below 35% Life while afflicted with any of your damage over time effects, an explosion occurs every 7 seconds, dealing 4% of Weapon Damage damage for each element they’re afflicted by.
  • Wildbolt Aspect (New)Every 2.0 seconds, Distant enemies are Pulled In to you and take 10% increased damage for 3 seconds.
  • Sticker Thought Aspect (New)Gain 11491 Thorns while Channeling and for 3 seconds afterwards.
  • Aspect Of Sly Steps (New)When you would accumulate 50% of your Maximum Life lost, you automatically cast an equipped Defensive, Subterfuge or Macabre Skill before receiving damage. Can only occur once every 30 seconds and cannot cast Mobility Skills.
  • Aspect Of The Dark Dance (New)Every 5 seconds, your next Core Skill costs 230 Life instead of Primary Resource. Will only occur if you have at least 60% of your Maximum Life. Skills that consume Life deal 80% increased damage.
  • Aspect Of Creeping Death (New)You deal 20.0% increased damage over time to enemies for each different Crowd Control effect they’re afflicted by. Unstoppable enemies and Staggered Bosses take 40% increased damage over time from you instead.
  • Aspect Of The Prudent Heart (New)After being damaged for at least 20% of your Maximum Life at once, you become Immune for 4.0 seconds. Can only occur once every 20 seconds.
  • Ghostwalker Aspect – While Unstoppable and for 4 seconds after, you gain 25% increased Movement Speed and are Unhindered. can move freely through enemies.
  • Aspect Of Audacity – When there are at least 5 Close enemies, Stun them for 4 seconds. Can This can only occur once every 20 seconds.

Sorcerer Skill Changes in Season 5

  • Blizzard – Mana Cost: 40 Lucky Hit Chance: 33% Summon a frigid blizzard that deals 1040% 1200% damage and continually Chills enemies for 18% over 8 seconds.
  • Charged Bolts – Mana Cost: 30 Lucky Hit Chance: 20% Release 5 bolts of lightning that course along the ground in an erratic pattern, dealing 30% 38% damage each.
  • Combustion – Your Burning effects deal 20% 40% increased damage, and an additional 4% per unique source of Burning you have applied to the enemy.
  • Convulsions – Lucky Hit: Shock Skills have up to a 5% 7% chance to Stun enemies for 3 seconds.
  • Crippling Flames – Lucky Hit: Your Pyromancy Skills have up to a 5% 7% chance to Immobilize enemies for 2 seconds. This chance is doubled while you are Healthy.
  • Enhanced Blizzard – Blizzard deals 25% 40% increased damage to Frozen enemies.
  • Enhanced Charged Bolts – The 3rd time an enemy is hit by a single cast of Charged Bolts, that bolt surges upon impact, dealing 45% 67% in an area.
  • Enhanced Lightning SpearCasting After Critically Striking, Lightning Spear gains a 5% spawns an additional Lightning Spear and increased increases stacking their Critical Strike Chance by 15%. for its duration.

  • Snap Freeze – Lucky Hit: Frost Skills have up to a 5% 7% chance to instantly Freeze.
  • Spark – Lucky Hit Chance: 9% Launch a bolt of lightning that shocks an enemy 4 times, dealing 10% 12% damage each hit.
  • Static Discharge – Lucky Hit: Critical Strikes with Shock Skills have up to a 5% 6% chance to form a Crackling Energy.
  • Summoned Hydra – Hydra also Burns enemies for an additional 60% 100% of its Base damage dealt over 6 seconds.
