Diablo 4’s Season 7, the Season of Witchcraft, introduced a variety of different witch-themed passive abilities. These powers are very important for players wanting to improve their builds and become as strong as possible during the season, as Witchcraft powers allow you to easily beat all the content the game has to offer on the highest difficulty; they are simply too powerful to pass on. However, it can be hard to decide which witchcraft power to use, so we have gathered a list of the most popular picks (that are taken in almost every high-ranked endgame build):
Eldritch Powers:
- Hex of Flames: This is a very good power, as your Licky Hits will deal additional fire damage whenever you damage a target. After Rank 7, it also explodes when you land a critical strike, damaging all surrounding enemies.
- Doom Orb: While it is a unique power, if you follow the Headhunt seasonal questline, you should unlock it quite fast. The power summons an orb that circles around you and deals damage to enemies. At higher ranks, it can be quite strong against bosses and elites.
Growth & Decay Powers:
- Soul Harvest: When you use any skill with a cooldown, it will activate and feed upon enemies, granting you a 3% increase to your primary stat per monster for a few seconds. At higher ranks, the buff can be maintained as long as enemies are around you. This power is extremely strong for all classes, as it gives a primary stat boost that can be stacked almost indefinitely.
- Aura of Siphoning: You will have an aura around you that deals poison damage to nearby enemies every second. At a higher rank, it can also heal you. This makes it a very strong power for builds that may have a bit less survivability or lack some AoE damage. The poison damage is quite strong.
- Hex of Whispers: This power will deal shadow damage that bounces between enemies. At higher ran,k it also grants you Fortify and removes all crowd control and negative status effects on you. It is more used for survivability than raw power.
Psychic Powers:
- Twilight Warding: If your build lacks shields, this is a good addition.
- Hex of Shattering: Psyche powers are a bit less efficient, but this one is very good if you know you are fighting a lot of Headrotten.
Lost Powers:
The Lost Powers are honestly the ones that are the best witchcraft powers; however, they are also very rare to get. You can only drop them from Forgotten Altars scattered through random dungeons, and finding them is no easy task. But if you manage to get some, here are the best Lost powers:
- Piranhado: This power works if you have both Hex and Aura effects already. It will then summon a Piranhado, pulling enemies together and dealing physical damage over 12 seconds. At higher ranks, the Piranhado moves around to seek enemies.
- Aura Specialization: This power increases the size of your aura effects, which means you have to pick other Aura powers as well. It will allow your aura to affect more enemies, making them even more efficient.
- Hex Specialization: Similar to the Aura Specialization, but for Hex powers this time. It increases the potency of your Hex effects, and at high rank increases the critical strike chance against enemies afflicted by your Hex effects.
Witchcraft Powers That Are Taken in Almost Every Build
Most S-Tier builds have a few Witchcraft Powers in common, and for good reason. Below, we list the strongest powers. Why? Because early on you will want to focus on leveling a select few powers, due to the high price of getting witchcraft powers ranked up to higher levels. Knowing which powers are used for multiple classes and builds will help you make a choice without regretting it later (should you switch build or class):
