UPDATE: Pezradar has now posted an update clarifying this was not a Uber Unique, but a placeholder item. Uber Uniques have 820 item power and drop from World Tier 4 from 85+ monsters.
Here’s another weird one for the season! A Unique staff has been dropping for players, without any stats aside from damage and two sockets. Players were obviously confused, and many theorized it was a bugged version of the new Season 1 Uber Unique, Ahavarion Spear of Lycander. The icon on the items is the same as well.
Blizzard have not confirmed that this is indeed the rare Unique, but first said they’re looking into it:
And have now said that the stats-less staff has been disabled.
Whether these players had indeed received the Uber Unique and it was just bugged, or if it was just a different bugged drop is unclear. Here are is the actual Uber Unique’s power:
- Ahavarion Spear of Lycander (Uber Unique Staff – World Tier 4). Gain a random Shrine effect for 10-20 seconds after killing an Elite enemy. Can only occur once every 30 seconds.
