Enhancement Shaman DPS Gems, Enchants, and Consumables — The War Within (11.0.7)

This section covers the optimal gems, enchants, food, potions, and flasks to use with your character. Please visit our dedicated Stats page to get a more detailed rundown of the different stats for Enhancement Shaman.

For all consumables excluding food in the lists below, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative look for a lower rank of the same item listed. The price difference is often significant for a small loss in stats gained.

It is highly recommended that you simulate your character for gems, as individual gear pieces have a big impact on gem options. As our stats are very similar across both Hero Talent trees and content types, we have a one-size-fits-all approach:

• You should use Culminating Blasphemite in your first socket.
• You should aim to have one of each color of gem to maximize its effect, focusing on Haste, meaning one of Quick Ruby, Quick Onyx and Quick Sapphire.
• All other sockets should have Masterful Emerald.

You can, if you so wish, also substitute the Culminating Blasphemite for an Elusive Blasphemite for a minor DPS loss if you feel you would get more out of additional passive movement speed. Some characters may also see that gemming to fulfill Culminating Blasphemite is not worth it, and you should follow your sim with which gem to stack.

For weapons, Enchant Weapon - Authority of the Depths performs best in exclusively single target situations suited to raids, but in any cleave or AoE situation two Enchant Weapon - Authority of Radiant Power is the better choice, making it the pick for Mythic+.

Cloak, Bracer, and Boot enchants are personal preferences as they have no direct impact on performance, but we recommend Avoidance and Stamina for the extra survivability.

There are two options for your flask of choice depending on the situation:

• Flask of Alchemical Chaos — is slightly more RNG than the alternatives, but is a net positive in stats and also leads to stronger Tempered Potion uses, so it is recommended.
• Flask of Tempered Swiftness / Flask of Tempered Mastery — Slightly weaker depending on gear, but more consistent by providing a bulk of a stat we want at all times. Does lead to a weaker Tempered Potion, however.

You can also obtain a flask of your choice from Algari Flask Cauldrons provided by Alchemists.

Tempered Potion is your potion of choice and should be used alongside your major cooldowns and Bloodlust / Heroism. You can also obtain Fleeting Tempered Potion from Algari Potion Cauldron provided by Alchemists.

Algari Healing Potion is the current best healing potion. Using this has a 5-minute cooldown, but multiple can be consumed in an extended boss fight should it go on long enough. Additionally, Warlock's Healthstones do not share a cooldown with other healing consumables. Remember to use it as well if you are holding one!

As Haste is currently exceptionally strong, you should be using secondary food so long as it is your current highest stat. This The Sushi Special feast or any of Outsider's Provisions, Beledar's Bounty, Jester's Board or Empress' Farewell for personal food.

Unfortunately, due to the Enhancement imbue system, we have no access to the additional weapon rune consumables. This is because Windfury Weapon and Flametongue Weapon overwrite them, so save some money and do not worry about these!

While it is technically possible to drop Windfury Weapon and use double Flametongue Weapon to activate Elemental Weapons, there are not any talents currently worth making this sacrifice for, so is not recommended in any way currently.

In addition, if you can afford it, you should use Crystallized Augment Runes to increase your primary stat. Augment Runes are expensive, and disappear on death, so use them wisely!
