Raid Guide

Sugar Riot is fought on a canvas with a screen on the north showing certain mechanics. The arena changes throughout the fight, though the bleed wall remains.

4.1.

Phase One

Phase one is fought on the normal mural arena. Players only fight Sugar Riot for the entire fight.

4.2.

Phase One Mechanics

Sugar Riot uses the following mechanics in phase one.

  • Mousse Mural: Raidwide magical damage. Returns the arena to normal if it wasn't.
  • Single Style: Sugar Riot draws one of four objects and tethers it to areas on the ground. These will do mechanics based on the drawn object.
    • A regular bomb with a fuse will do a giant AoE.
    • Bombs with wings will jump horizontally to the other side and do a giant AoE.
    • Arrows will do a line AoE across the arena.
    • Targets will make all arrows fire towards it instead.
  • Pudding Party: Multi-hit stack marker on a healer.
  • Color Riot: AoE magical tank buster on both tanks.
4.3.

Phase One Strategy

  • The first phase tutorializes all of Sugar Riot's tells. Single Style will draw an object and tether it to the ground. Dodge the bombs and arrows based on what is drawn.
  • Stack for Pudding Party and mitigate Color Riot.
4.4.

Phase Two

Sugar Riot begins to draw, altering the landscape.

4.5.

Phase Two Mechanics

Sugar Riot introduces the following mechanics in this phase.

  • Sugarscape: Sugar Riot draws a landscape, changing the arena. The change is shown on the screen before it occurs on the arena. The first change will desertify the arena.
  • Layer: Sugar Riot layers on the canvas, adding detrimental effects or abilities.
  • Sun: Sugar Riot inflicts all players with Sweltering, dealing damage over time.
  • Cacti: Spawns cacti in the desert, creating large AoEs where they appear.
  • Quicksand: Creates a large quicksand hole in the middle.
  • Mousse Touch-up: Marked AoEs on all players.
  • Double Style: Sugar Riot begins to draw two objects at a time.
4.6.

Phase Two Strategy

  • Dodge the cacti, then move to the corners of the arena to not get sucked in by the quicksand.
  • The quicksand then expands to the south of the arena. Dodge the cacti while avoiding the quicksand, then spread for Mousse Touch-up.
  • Dodge the mechanics created by Double Style. The arrows fly towards the target in the middle. Areas with normal bombs are unsafe and areas with winged bombs are safe. For arrows and bombs, be in the safe lane while away from the bomb side.
4.7.

Phase Three

In phase three, Sugar Riot will alter the landscape yet again.

4.8.

Phase Three Mechanics

Sugar Riot introduces the following mechanics in this phase.

  • Sugarscape: This second Sugarscape will create a river with bridges connecting islands. Standing in the river will give the player resistance to fire and weakness to lightning.
  • Taste of Thunder: Marked thunder AoEs on all players that inflicts a magic vulnerability debuff.
  • Taste of Fire: Stack markers on both healers that deals fire damage. Inflicts a magic vulnerability debuff.
  • Flood: Creates a storm, flooding the river. This creates perpetual lightning strikes on the ground. Stepping into the flooded river will inflict a Dropsy DoT.
  • Storm: Creates a giant lightning cloud, which moves across to each island and strikes it with an AoE, instantly killing all players on it.
4.9.

Phase Three Strategy

  • Spread for Taste of Thunder and make two stacks for Taste of Fire.
