How to Unlock Brute Abominator

3.

Lore

The president's “script” has culminated in a grudge match between you and the Brute Bomber, who has recklessly injected himself with multiple feral souls. Now an abomination, the only way to save the reviled heel is to stop him forcefully through battle. For his sake, this is a fight you cannot afford to lose.

4.

Raid Guide

Brute Abominator is fought on multiple arenas throughout the fight, and he will alter his hitbox throughout.

4.1.

Phase One

Phase one is fought on a square platforms. Players can fall off to their death.

4.2.

Phase One Mechanics

Brute Abominator uses the following mechanics in phase one.

  • Brutal Impact: Raidwide physical damage.
  • Stoneringer: The Stabbing: Brute Abominator forms a sword with vines. A donut AoE.
  • Stoneringer: The Bludgeoning: Brute Abominator forms a club with vines. A point-blank AoE.
  • Brutish Swing: Does the donut or point-blank AoE from Stoneringer. Also does a shared physical tank buster.
  • Spore Sac: Spawns vines that create circle AoEs. There will be two safe spots in the middle. Afterwards, these spawn adds that cast Crossing Crosswinds, a large cross AoE that can be interrupted.
  • Pulp Smash: A stack marker on a healer. Brute Abominator jumps to them, creating an AoE with conal AoEs extending from it.
  • Quarry Swamp: A gaze attack. Hide behind the corpses from the adds to dodge it. Players hit will be petrified and die to any incoming damage.
  • Explosion: Three proximity AoEs spawn on the edges in a triangle. Go to the third one and dodge into the first.
  • Neo Bombarian Special: A knockback from the centre that knocks players off the arena. Stand towards the north to get knocked back to the second platform.
4.3.

Phase One Strategy

  • Brute Abominator is a fast-paced fight with high damage but honest tells, similar to his previous incarnation Brute Bomber.
  • Either dodge out or in when Brutish Swing happens depending on if he has a sword or club. The tanks should be together at the front of the boss.
  • Dodge the AoEs created by Spore Sac, then stack together with the healer. Dodge the conal AoEs and the AoE created by Pulp Smash, then deal with the Blooming Abomination adds. Silence them and dodge the cross AoEs that weren't silenced.
  • Avoid Quarry Swamp by standing behind the add corpses relative to the boss. Proceed to dodge the proximity explosions. As the third one happens, Brute Abominator will do another Stoneringer.
  • Stand at the very north to get knocked back to the second arena for Neo Bombarian Special.
4.4.

Phase Two

In phase two, Brute Abominator will start tethering to buildings and doing mechanics from a shifted location. Players can still fall to their death.

4.5.

Phase Two Mechanics

Brute Abominator introduces the following mechanics in phase two.

  • Brutish Swing: Brute Abominator can now tether to another tower during Brutish Swing, moving to that location before casting it.
  • Glower Power: A line AoE from the front of the boss with marked lightning AoEs on all players.
  • Abominable Blink: A flare proximity marker on a tank. That tank should run away from the party.
  • Revenge of the Vines: Spawns vines on the three towers around the arena.
  • Sporesplosion: Three sets of large AoEs around the arena.
  • Powerslam: Breaks the arena, causing all players to plummet down.
4.6.

Phase Two Strategy

  • The donut and point-blank AoEs from Stoneringer and Brutish Swing are still from Brute Abominator's hitbox, but he tethers to one of three towers on the arena.
  • When Brutish Swing casts and there is a vine tether to another tower, Brute Abominator will jump to that tower and cast it from there. Using a dash too close to the edge will take you off as his hitbox is still circular. Spread for Glower Power after the in/out.
  • As Sporesplosion is cast, look for the vine tether location and dodge close to there.
4.7.

Phase Three

In phase three, players fight in a square arena similar to the Brute Bomber fight. This lasts for the rest of the fight.

4.8.

Phase Three Mechanics

Brute Abominator introduces the following mechanics in phase three.

  • Stoneringer 2: Stoneringers: Brute Abominator forms both weapons. Whichever weapon is glowing during Brutish Swing is the one he will use.
  • Lashing Lariat: Brute Abominator raises one fist, doing a large cleave on that side of the arena and dashing to the opposite side.
  • Slaminator: A stack tower in the middle of the arena.
4.9.

Phase Three Strategy

  • Brute Abominator does a long sequence with a combination of abilities in this phase that players need to prepare for, as it will likely repeat a few times.
  • Brutish Swing tethers him to a wall. Either go to the wall or stay out depending on if the sword or club is glowing. Afterwards, go to one side of the boss to dodge Lashing Lariat.
  • Afterwards, he will tether to another wall and do another Brutish Swing. One weapon will be remaining, so go opposite of the first one. Finally, he casts Slaminator, so stack in the middle and mitigate.
  • Every other instance will be accompanied with Spore Sacs and Quarry Swamp, so kill the adds and hide behind their corpses to avoid the gaze.
  • Brute Abominator repeats mechanics from this point onwards.
5.
