AAC Light-heavyweight M3 Normal Raid Guide
Welcome to our guide to AAC Light-heavyweight M3, the third encounter in the first raid tier of The Arcadion. This guide aims to prepare players for the raid so they will know what to expect, with simple mechanic instructions and notes on what to watch out for.
Introduction
Brute Bomber is the third boss fought in AAC Light-heavyweight.
How to Unlock Brute Bomber
To unlock AAC Light-heavyweight M3, players must complete the quest "Vile Heat." This is the second quest in the quest chain starting from "A New Challenger Appears," which can be received from the Stylish Stranger in Solution Nine (x19.1, y18.8). There is a minimum item level restriction of 685 to enter through the duty finder in a matched party.
Lore
The time has come for your title match against the Brute Bomber, who wields the explosive power of a bomb king. Yet he did not become champion by playing by the rules, and if you are to bring this despised heel low, you must be prepared to face all that he may bring to bear.
Raid Guide
Brute Bomber is fought on a square arena. Getting knocked or stepping out of the arena will inflict a fire DoT.
Phase One
Phase one has you do battle with Brute Bomber. This phase will introduce players to mechanics in the fight.
Phase One Mechanics
The following mechanics are introduced in phase one.
- Brutal Impact: Four instances of raidwide physical damage.
- Knuckle Sandwich: Shared physical tankbuster.
- Brutal Lariat: Brute Bomber raises one fist. He dashes across the arena, cleaving the side of the arena his fist was raised on as well as his entire hitbox in a gigantic AoE.
- Murderous Mist: A 270 degree frontal cleave. Move behind the boss.
- Barbarous Barrage: Summons four bomb towers that must be soaked. Standing in the tower knocks back players from the middle of the tower.
- Fire Spin: Brute Bomber does frontal conal AoEs and spins in the direction indicated.
- Fuses of Fury: Summons bombs with short fuses and long fuses. These explode in a large AoE, and the length of the fuse indicates the order of which they explode.
Phase One Strategy
- Make sure to mitigate Brutal Impact, as casters and healers take extra damage from physical attacks.
- Brute Bomber raises one fist for Brutal Lariat. Move to the opposite side and out of his hitbox to dodge the attack. Save a dash for uptime.
- Get behind him for Murderous Mist. If players are hit they will be inflicted with a cleansable poison DoT.
- When standing in the tower for Barbarous Barrage, either use knockback immunity abilities or stand on the inside to ensure you don't get knocked back outside the arena.
- Stand on the bombs with the long fuses first for Fuses of Fury, then move into the explosions.
- Brute Bomber will continue with basic sequences until he casts Doping Draught. This will give the boss additional mechanics.
Phase Two
Phase two begins when Brute Bomber finishes doping. Many abilities are enhanced in phase two, and deal additional damage.
Phase Two Mechanics
The following mechanics are introduced in phase two.
- Lariat Combo: Brute Bomber will cast Brutal Lariat twice in quick succession. The second cast is when he dashes across the arena, so look at him to see which side you need to go to after the first dash.
- Brutal Burn: Stack marker.
- Brutal Impact: Now hits six times.
- Infernal Spin: The upgraded Fire Spin: now has ring AoEs coming from the middle. Dodge these while rotating. At the end, AoEs appear under all players.
Phase Two Strategy
- Many abilities are now upgraded. Brutal Lariat becomes Lariat Combo, which hits a second time. Brutal Impact now hits six times and can easily kill a caster or healer from full HP if there is no healing or mitigation.
- Fire Spin is upgraded to Infernal Spin. Rotate along with the boss while dodging in and out of the ring AoEs. Towards the end, dodge as a group as AoEs will appear under all players, then head towards the boss to dodge a Lariat Combo. This is followed by Brutal Burn and Brutal Impact.
- Brute Bomber then casts Fuses of Fury accompanied with a Lariat Combo. Dodge into the first explosion closest to the boss, which should always be safe for the Lariat.
- The next Barbarous Barrage is accompanied by Fuses of Fury. Ideally, use your knockback if soaking a tower and then dodge the fuses. If not, try to get knocked back to a safe spot for the first explosion, and then dodge into it. This is followed by Murderous Mist, Brutal Burn, and Brutal Impact, so dodge and heal.
- The boss then repeats mechanics done previously starting from Infernal Spin until he is defeated.
Loot
Coffers that appear after defeating Brute Bomber will yield tokens that can be traded in for gear. The drops for this fight are listed below.
- 1x Lightheavy Holohelm;
- 2x Lightheavy Holoarmor;
