Upgrading to an Atma Zodiac Weapon
To contuniue the Relic series, speak to Gerolt with your Zenith Zodiac Weapon equipped to accept the quest Up in Arms. This quest introduces you to Jalzahn who wants 12 crystals known as Atma which drop from fates in various zones across the base game.
Zone | Atma |
---|---|
Outer La Noscea | Atma of the Lion |
Upper La Noscea | Atma of the Water-bearer |
Middle La Noscea | Atma of the Ram |
Western La Noscea | Atma of the Crab |
Lower La Noscea | Atma of the Fish |
Eastern Thanalan | Atma of the Bull |
Central Thanalan | Atma of the Scales |
Western Thanalan | Atma of the Twins |
Southern Thanalan | Atma of the Scorpion |
North Shroud | Atma of the Archer |
East Shroud | Atma of the Goat |
Central Shroud | Atma of the Maiden |
When an Atma drops, a very distinct popup will appear in-game making it obvious when you got one. It is very important however, to make sure your Zenith Weapon is equipped at all times! Atmas cannot drop if you are not using the weapon (and shield for Paladin). Additionally, it’s important to have inventory space. Atmas do not drop in your key items!
Current estimates suggest the Atma drop rate at around 20%. Your performance in a FATE does not affect the drop rate as long as the FATE is completed. You also don’t need to wait for the FATE to fully complete, as long as you participated and the fate completes.
If you plan to complete multiple relics, you can farm multiple Atma in any zone while this quest is active which can save time down the line!
Once you have all 12 Atma, simply return to Jalzahn with your Zenith Weapon unequipped to receive your Atma Zodiac Weapon. It is now time to move onto the Animus step.
