Dark Knight Offensive Job Action Changes in Dawntrail

Skill Name Category Changes
Melee Mastery II Passive (NEW!) Upgrades the potencies of all GCDs except Unleash at level 94.
Blood Weapon Ability Number of stacks reduced to three. Upgrades to Delirium at level 68.
Delirium Ability Additionally grants the effect of Blood Weapon. Upgrades at level 96 to allow execution of Scarlet Delirium and Impalement.
Scarlet Delirium Weaponskill (NEW!) Replaces Bloodspiller while under the effect of Delirium. Deals single-target damage, restores MP, and allows execution of Comeuppance.
Comeuppance Weaponskill (NEW!) Deals single-target damage, restores MP, and allows execution of Torcleaver.
Torcleaver Weaponskill (NEW!) Deals single-target damage and restores MP.
Impalement Weaponskill (NEW!) Replaces Quietus while under the effect of Delirium. Deals damage in a circular AoE and restores MP.
Living Shadow Ability Grants the effect of Scorn at level 100, which allows execution of Disesteem and replaces the simulacrum's final action with a lower-potency version of Disesteem.
Disesteem Weaponskill (NEW!) Replaces Living Shadow while under the effect of Scorn. Deals damage in a linear AoE.

Dark Knight Defensive Action Changes in Dawntrail

Shadowed Vigil Ability (NEW!) Upgrades from Shadow Wall at level 92. Reduces damage taken by 40% and grants Vigilant, which heals the user when health drops below half or the effect expires.
Rampart Icon Rampart Ability Upgrades at level 94 to increase all incoming healing by 15% for the duration.
Reprisal Icon Reprisal Ability Upgrades at level 98 to increase duration to 15 seconds.

Dark Knight Action Changes in Patch 6.0

In Endwalker, Dark Knight builds upon its rework in Shadowbringers. It has received new damaging abilities and defensive abilities. Its capstone action is the Shadowbringer itself, dealing massive damage to all enemies in a line.

5.1.

Changes to Dark Knight Weaponskills

  1. Hard Slash Icon Hard Slash potency changed from 200 to 170.
  2. Syphon Strike Icon Syphon Strike potency changed from 100 to 120, and combo potency changed from 300 to 260.
  3. Souleater Icon Souleater potency changed from 100 to 120, and combo potency changed from 400 to 340.
  4. Bloodspiller Icon Bloodspiller potency changed from 600 to 500.
  5. Quietus Icon Quietus potency changed from 210 to 200.

Dark Knight did not receive any new weaponskills or spells.

  1. Unleash Icon Unleash potency changed from 150 to 120.
  2. Unmend Icon Unmend range increased from 15 yalms to 20 yalms. Added the additional effect of reducing the recast time of Plunge by 5 seconds.
  3. Stalwart Soul Icon Stalwart Soul combo potency changed from 160 to 140.

6.1.

Changes to Dark Knight Abilities

  1. Flood of Darkness Icon Flood of Darkness potency changed from 250 to 130. Recast time changed from 2 seconds to 1 second.
  2. Edge of Darkness Icon Edge of Darkness potency changed from 350 to 300. Recast time changed from 2 seconds to 1 second.
  3. Salted Earth Icon Salted Earth is now always targeted at the Dark Knight's position, and changes to Salt and Darkness Icon Salt and Darkness upon execution.
  4. Abyssal Drain Icon Abyssal Drain potency changed from 200 to 150, and range increased from 15 yalms to 20 yalms. It now has an addition effect of restoring MP, and shares a recast timer with Carve and Spit Icon Carve and Spit.
  5. Carve and Spit Icon Carve and Spit potency changed from 450 to 510, and shares a recast timer with Abyssal Drain Icon Abyssal Drain.
  6. Delirium Icon Delirium has been adjusted. It now grants three stacks of Delirium, each stack allowing the execution of Quietus and Bloodspiller without Blackblood cost, restoring MP when landing either weaponskill. This has a duration of 15 seconds. The recast time changed from 90 seconds to 60 seconds.
  7. Flood of Shadow Icon Flood of Shadow potency changed from 300 to 260. Recast time changed from 2 seconds to 1 second.
  8. Edge of Shadow Icon Edge of Shadow potency changed from 500 to 460. Recast time changed from 2 seconds to 1 second.
  9. Living Shadow Icon Living Shadow added additional effect: Simulacrum is able to execute Shadowbringer, delivering an attack to all enemies in a straight line before it with a potency of 450 for the first enemy, and 25% less for all remaining enemies.

New Dark Knight Abilities

  1. Oblation Icon Oblation reduces damage taken by a party member or self by 10% for a duration of 10 seconds. It has two maximum charges.
  2. Salt and Darkness Icon Salt and Darkness deals additional unaspected damage to all enemies standing in the corrupted patch of Salted Earth with a potency of 500 for the first enemy and 50% less for all remaining enemies.
  3. Shadowbringer Icon Shadowbringer deals unaspected damage to all enemies in a straight line before you with a potency of 600 for the first enemy and 50% less for all remaining enemies. It has two maximum charges, and can only be executed while under the effect of Darkside.

New Dark Knight Traits

  1. Enhanced Unmend reduces recast time of Plunge by 5 seconds when executing Unmend on most targets.
  2. Melee Mastery increases the potency of Hard Slash Icon Hard Slash to 170, Syphon Strike Icon Syphon Strike to 120, and Souleater Icon Souleater to 120.
  3. Enhanced Living Shadow increases the potency of attacks dealt by your simulacrum to 300.
  4. Enhanced Living Shadow II upgrades Flood of Shadow executed by your simulacrum to Shadowbringer, which delivers an attack to all enemies in a straight line before it with a potency of 450 for the first enemy and 25% less for all remaining enemies.
