All New Content in Dawntrail for FFXIV

Dawntrail will feature new enemies in dungeons, raids, the overworld, and beyond. The cadence of these releases will be the same as previous expansions, so rest assured we will receive high quality combat content in Dawntrail. FATEs, Hunts, Treasure Hunts, and sidequests will be released alongside the new zones in Dawntrail.

Like Island Sanctuary before it, Cosmic Exploration is a new type of lifestyle content that will be iterated on throughout the Dawntrail patch series. Unlike Island Sanctuary which was primarily done by a single player, Cosmic Exploration is intended to be done by a group of many players though players can choose to tackle this solo. With each update, the star being explored will change.

Blue Mage will be receiving updates throughout the Dawntrail patch series. It will receive a level cap increase with new spells and duties to complete.

A second limited job will be released in Dawntrail. The highly anticipated Beastmaster will be released sometime in the Dawntrail patch series, with gameplay similar to that of Blue Mage. No other details were released, so stay tuned for further updates!

Hildibrand will be receiving new quests in Dawntrail. It is likely that players will have to complete the previous Hildibrand quests to continue with the new series, though completion of a Hildibrand Relic weapon is probably not necessary.

Dawntrail will feature new Role Quests, unlocked at level 92. Role quests are quests that tell a unique story and expand on the lore in a specific setting. They are called role quests because there is one for each combat role in the game: tank, healer, melee DPS, physical ranged DPS, and caster DPS.

In Endwalker, the Gold Saucer received plenty of updates including a full-fledged collaboration with the popular platformer game Fall Guys. Dawntrail will further introduce new content in the Gold Saucer as well as updates and changes to existing Gold Saucer content. Unlike other content, players do not need to have access to Dawntrail itself to enjoy Gold Saucer updates.

PvP will continue receiving support in Dawntrail. Frontlines, Rival Wings, and Crystalline Conflict will continue to receive new modes, maps, and adjustments to further improve the player-versus-player content in Final Fantasy XIV.

Final Fantasy XIV currently has three Deep Dungeons, and Dawntrail has been confirmed to feature a fourth. Deep Dungeons are rogue-like dungeons where players traverse a randomly-generated dungeon with special enemies, effects, and restrictions. Players can traverse them as a light party of four, or undertake the ultimate challenge and dive into the deep solo, with tantalizing rewards for those who reach the depths.

Variant and Criterion dungeons were a new type of dungeon released in Endwalker, focused on exploration and lore with unique rewards. Criterion Dungeons up the ante, increasing the difficulty with greater rewards. New Variant dungeons will be released in Dawntrail, so look forward to exploring the rich landscapes of the New World!

Field Operation-styled content was highly requested to be added in further expansions as a type of massively multiplayer open-world content. Like Eureka in Stormblood and Bozja in Shadowbringers, Dawntrail will feature a brand new type of Field Operation in the Shades' Triangle.
