Endwalker Patch 6.5 Growing Light Guide Hub

Endwalker's fifth major patch, Patch 6.5 Growing Light, is set to release October 3, 2023. The patch will be split into two major content releases, with the second half releasing mid-January 2024. Patch 6.5 will set the stage for FFXIV's next expansion, Dawntrail. Coming with the patch is the usual FFXIV content players enjoy, including new main scenario quests, an Alliance Raid, Endwalker Tribal Alliance quests, continued Tataru and Hildibrand sidequests, a new dungeon, relic weapons, and more! In addition, a collab with the popular multiplayer game Fall Guys was announced, slated for release in the Patch 6.5 cycle.

Several new duties will be released in Endwalker with Patch 6.5. One Dungeon, one Alliance Raid, and two Trials will be immediately available on release, and a Criterion Dungeon will be released in Patch 6.51.

Patch 6.5 will conclude the Void storyline started in Patch 6.1, and set the stage for the Dawntrail story in the next expansion. Note that the main scenario quests will be split into two parts, with the second part coming in January 2024 in Patch 6.55.

There are a multitude of new sidequests that will be released in the 6.5 patch cycle. Included are new quests in the Tataru's Grand Endeavor questline, which require the completion of previous quests as well as the Sorrow of Werlyt Trial questline from Shadowbringers. Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures will be returning, and both of these questlines will release in Patch 6.55.

In Patch 6.55, Manderville weapons introduced in Patch 6.25 will have new quests, allowing you to upgrade these weapons even further! Additionally, new quests to upgrade Splendorous Tools will also be added in patch 6.51.

One new endgame Dungeon will be released in Patch 6.5, The Lunar Subterrane. In addition, a new Variant and Criterion Dungeon, Aloalo Island, will be released in patch 6.51. One new Trial with a Normal and Extreme difficulty, the Abyssal Fracture, will be released in Patch 6.5, where Warriors of Light will fight Zeromus. In addition, one new Unreal Trial will be introduced: The Singulary Reactor (Unreal), where players do battle against King Thordan. The final wing of the Myths of the Realm Alliance Raid will be released in Patch 6.5. Thaleia is a 24-man raid and will conclude the Myths of the Realm story.

Duty Support for the required dungeons in the Stormblood post-MSQ patches will be added: The Drowned City of Skalla, the Burn, and the Ghimlyt Dark will all receive Duty Support options. This means that duty support will now be available for all main scenario dungeons for all expansions!

Patch 6.5 will come with multiple adjustments to non-combat content, such as Island Sanctuary and Allied Tribes.

The Island Sanctuary will receive updates. The maximum sanctuary rank will be raised, and new gathering points, materials, animals, landmarks, and rewards will be added. In addition, a new system called Felicitous Favors will be added, giving players handicrafts to aim for in daily production that give special tokens tradeable for exclusive rewards.

A new custom delivery NPC will be introduced: Margrat, an NPC from Labyrinthos.

Final Fantasy XIV is having a collaboration with Fall Guys, with events coming to the Gold Saucer in the Patch 6.5 cycle! Though the details of this collab are unknown, promotional images and videos show Warriors of Light participating in obstacle courses against each other.

Other important changes were touched on briefly in the Live Letter. These include but are not limited to:

• Consecutive Aetherial Reduction for collectables;
• Newly logged fish indicators in the Fish Guide;
• Ability to store optional items in the armoire;
• Item level restrictions in Duty Roulette: Alliance Raid;
• Ability to sort teleport destination by expansion;
• New mount reward for obtaining all Trial mounts in Endwalker;
• Item level restrictions as well as reward adjustments based on difficulty for Duty Roulette: Alliance Raid.

Patch 6.5 will bring a balance update to various Jobs in FFXIV. No specific details were given, and changes are sure to be light due to the expansion overhaul coming soon.

As FFXIV is a vertical progression MMO, new and improved gear can be acquired in the patch. Patch 6.5 does not feature an increased item level, but new gearing options will be added to allow players to increase their item levels quickly or gear up alt jobs. In Patch 6.5, both Crystalline Conflict and Frontlines will receive updates. PvP Series Five will begin, and Crystalline Conflict Season Eight will end in Patch 6.51. Crystalline Conflict will also receive a new map, the Red Sands, and a few minimap and UI adjustments to help players.
