How to Obtain The Sunforged Mount in FFXIV

Released in Patch 6.2, this mount is one of the rewards for the completion of Pandaemonium Abyssos: The Eighth Circle (Savage). This mount is the rideable version of some of the attacks from the boss, Hephaistos. This mount is unique since it has different forms for when it is on the ground and when it is in the air.

To unlock the savage difficulty, you must first clear the normal difficulty starting with the quest, An Unwelcome Visitor from Claudien at Labyrinthos (x8, y27). After completing the quest, Truth Imperfect, speak with Nemjiji at Labyrinthos (x8, y24) to unlock the Savage difficulty. Since this is from a previous set of Savage encounters of the Endwalker expansion, gear item level 630 and above currently available to players should be more than adequate to attempt this challenge. The good news is that you do not need to clear Circles Five to Seven to enter this fight. This doesn't mean the boss is going to be a pushover, however.

Upon clearing the fight, three chests will appear. Two containing equipment, and one containing the Sunforged Crystal, as well as the minion from normal mode, and an orchestrian roll. For a guide on this two part encounter, please refer to our guides on Abyssos: The Eighth Circle (Savage).
