Machinist Action Changes in Dawntrail

In Dawntrail, Machinist expands on the Endwalker version of the job. It gains upgrades to key actions such as Heatblast, Ricochet, and Gauss Round. While also making the job slightly more flexible through an extra charge of Drill and an adjustment to Barrel Stabilizer's interaction with Hypercharge.

7.1 Changes

Flamethrower Icon Flamethrower Ability Potency increased to 100. Area of effect increased to 12 yalms.
Double Check Icon Double Check Ability Potency increased to 170.
Checkmate Icon Checkmate Ability Potency increased to 170.

Tactician Icon Tactician Ability Effectiveness increased from 10% to 15%.
Barrel Stabilizer Icon Barrel Stabilizer Ability Reworked, no longer grants you 50 heat. Instead it now gives you a buff that allows you to use Hypercharge Icon Hypercharge for free, and a buff called "Full Metal Machinist" that changes the Barrel Stabilizer button into a new action "Full Metal Field"
Full Metal Field Icon Full Metal Field Weaponskill (NEW!) Can only be used when under the effect of "Full Metal Machinist" which is granted by Barrel Stabilizer Icon Barrel Stabilizer. This GCD has a range of 25y, a radius of 5y, and deals a critical direct hit to all enemies within the radius with a potency of 700, with 50% less for enemies other than the main target. The damage of this ability is increased by critical hit rate and direct hit rate buffs.
Drill Icon Drill Weaponskill Now can hold two charges.
Second Wind Icon Second Wind Ability Has its curing potency increased.
Heat Blast Icon Heat Blast Weaponskill Has its potency increased to 220, has a new animation, and is renamed to Blazing Shot Icon Blazing Shot.
Chain Saw Icon Chain Saw Weaponskill Grants a buff called "Excavator Ready" that allows the usage of Excavator, this also changes the Chain Saw Icon Chain Saw button into the button of Excavator.
Excavator Icon Excavator Weaponskill (NEW!) Deals 600 potency worth of damage in a radius of 5y around the target, reducing to 65% for any additional targets, this action like the original Chain Saw Icon Chain Saw also grants 20 battery on use, and it can only be used when under the effect of "Excavator Ready" which is granted by Chain Saw Icon Chain Saw.
Gauss Round Icon Gauss Round Ability Increased to 160 potency and now cleaves around the target similar to Ricochet Icon Ricochet. It also has a new animation and is renamed to Double Check Icon Double Check.
Ricochet Icon Ricochet Ability Increased to 160 potency, has a new animation, and is renamed to Checkmate Icon Checkmate.
