Earning Reputation with the Namazu Beast Tribe in FFXIV
This page contains information about the Namazu Tribal Quests. Here, players will find out how to unlock the tribe, the daily quests they offer, and the rewards they can get from these quests.
Namazu Tribal Quests
The Namazu tribe in The Azim Steppe is located at Dhoro Iloh, where the Namazu are holding a gigantic festival, and you are invited...to help. To learn about what tribes are and what their quests are about, visit our tribes hub.
Overview
The Namazu tribe is one of the tribes of Stormblood. They are focused on Disciples of the Hand and Land. Their currency is the Namazu Koban, and these can be traded in for rewards. There are two other tribes in Stormblood, and you can learn about them by visiting the SB tribe hub.
How to Unlock Namazu Quests
In order to unlock Namazu daily quests, players must have completed the level 66 main scenario quest In Crimson They Walked. In addition, they need to complete two separate sidequest chains. First, players must complete quests from Fukudo in Yanxia (x30.9, y17.8, z0.6). It is advised to unlock flight in the pertinent areas prior to doing these quests.
- Courage the Cowardly Lupin
- Kurobana vs. the Rice Sacks
- Kurobana vs. the Arrowheads
- Kurobana Holmes
Then, players must complete quests starting with the Perchance to Hanami quest from Ochimi in Yanxia (x30.3, y18.3, z0.6).
- Perchance to Hanami
- Gyorin the Namazu
- No Wealth Like Mineral Wealth
- Fresh Flesh
- Show Me the New Money
- Amber Alert
Finally, players must complete the Kurobana vs. Gyorin quest from Kurobana in Yanxia (x29.3, y17.5). After completing this quest, players can take the quest Something Fishy This Way Comes from the Floundering Namazu in The Azim Steppe (x17.4, y37.5) to unlock the Namazu beast tribe!
Reputation
The Namazu starts off at Friendly rank and maxes out at Bloodsworn rank. Once you complete the Stormblood Allied Beast Tribe quests, they will automatically be upgraded to Allied along with all other SB beast tribes.
Crafting and Gathering
The Namazu are focused on crafting and gathering. There are no special requirements to craft or gather Namazu beast tribe items - simply progress the quest and craft the required items from the Beast Tribe Quests tab in Special Recipes for the class you accepted the quest on. Materials are autoamtically given to the player, and can be replenished by talking to the quest NPC.
Namazu Quests
After completing the first main quest, players unlock daily quests. Upon reaching max reputation for the rank, a new main story quest becomes unlocked which ranks up the player. Doing so will unlock new daily quests. Namazu quests employ a system called quest sync, which matches the difficulty of quests to the player's current level. Players must complete the quest on the job they accept the quest on.
