Aeolian Edge | Weaponskill | Base potency increased to 200 due to the trait Melee Mastery III at level 94. Now increases potency by 100 while under the effects of Kazematoi. |
Armor Crush | Weaponskill | Base potency increased to 220 due to the trait Melee Mastery III at level 94. Combo potency increased to 420. Flank combo potency increased to 480. Now grants 2 stacks of Kazematoi, each one increasing Aeolian Edge's potency by 100. |
Forked Raiju | Weaponskill | Base potency increased to 640 due to the trait Melee Mastery III at level 94. |
Fleeting Raiju | Weaponskill | Base potency increased to 640 due to the trait Melee Mastery III at level 94. |
Fuma Shuriken | Ability | Base potency increased to 500 due to the trait Melee Mastery III at level 94. |

Huton | Ability | This ability has been reworked to do an aoe attack with a potency of 240 potency to target and all enemies nearby it. In addition, it grants the buff Shadow Walker, which allows the execution of actions which require the effect of Hidden, without being under that effect. |
Suiton | Ability | Base potency increased to 580 due to the trait Melee Mastery III at level 94. In addition, it now grants the Shadow Walker buff instead of the Suiton buff, which allows execution of actions which require the effect of Hidden, without being under that effect. |
Bhavacakra | Ability | Base potency increased to 380 due to the trait Melee Mastery III at level 94. The potency of Bhavacakra while under the effects of Meisui has also been increased to 530. |
Meisui | Ability | Now dispels Shadow Walker, increasing Ninki Gauge by 50. Now the buff Meisui increases the potency of Zesho Meppo to 700 and Bhavacakra to 530. |
Ten Chi Jin | Ability | Additonally this ability now also grants Tenri Jindo Ready for 30s, allowing the use of our new skill Tenri Jindo. |
Mug | Ability | Delivers an attack with a potency of 150. Additionally increases the target's damage taken by 5% for 20 seconds. Also increases the additional items dropped by target if Mug is dealt before, or as, the finishing blow. |
Zesho Meppo(NEW!) | Ability | Deals unaspected damage with a potency of 550. If under the meisui buff, this ability instead does 700 potency. Has a Ninki Gauge cost of 50. Can only be executed while under the effect of Higi. |
Deathfrog Medium(NEW!) | Ability | Deals fire damage with a potency of 300 to target and all enemies nearby it. Has a Ninki Gauge cost of 50. Can only be executed while under the effect of Higi. |
Tenri Jindo(NEW!) | Ability | Deals unaspected damage to target and all enemies nearby it with a potency of 1000 foir the first enemy, and 50% less for all remaining enemies. Can only be executed while under the effect of Tenri Jindo Ready. |
Kunai's Bane(NEW!) | Ability | Deals damage to all nearby enemies with a potency of 600 for the first enemy, and 50% less for all remaining enemies. Afflicts target with Kunai's Bane, which increases damage you deal to the target by 10% for 15s. Can only be executed while Hidden. Just an upgrade to Trick Attack. |
Dokumori(NEW!) | Ability | Delivers an attack with a potency of 300. Additionally increases target's damage taken by 5% for 20s. Also, it increases the chance of additional items being dropped by target if Dokumori is dealt before, or as, the finishing blow. Increases Ninki Gauge by 40. Finally, it also grants the buff Higi, which is used to use the new abilities Zesho Meppo and Deathfrog Medium. |
Increase Attack Speed(NEW!) | Trait | Reduces weaponskill cast time and recast time, spell cast time and recast time, and auto-attack delay by 15% Unlocked at level 15. Trait version of old Huton. |
Trick Attack Mastery(NEW!) | Trait | Upgrades Trick Attack to Kunai's Bane. Unlocked at level 92. |

Unlocked at level 94. |
Enhanced Dokumori(NEW!) | Trait | Grants Higi upon executing Dokumori. Unlocked at level 96. |
Enhanced Feint(NEW!) | Trait | Extends the duration of Feint to 15 seconds. Unlocked at level 98. |
Enhanced Ten Chi Jin(NEW!) | Trait | Grants Tenri Jindo Ready upon executing Ten Chi Jin. Unlocked at level 100. |
Ninja's Dawntrail Opener
Listed below is a showcase from the Job Actions Trailer featuring a collection of battle actions for Ninja.
In addition, the following information was shown and talked about during the Letter to the Producer Live 81:
- Huton's has been moved to a trait and will always be active. ( Huton will be changed to an AoE attack which grants the effect of Hidden)
- Actions which extend the duration of Huton's effect will be adjusted in accordance with the above change.
While this is all subject to change before actual release, we have a good idea of how the job will play in Dawntrail. If you enjoyed our current iteration of Ninja in Endwalker, then you are in luck, because the version that we have seen of Dawntrail seems to be very very similar. The changes that we see from the media tour doesn't seem to affect our current rotation at all outside of us having an extra oGCD to use every 2 minutes, in the form of Tenri Jindo. We still want to prioritize Aeolian Edge inside of buffs if we have our Kazematoi just like we did previously assuming we had a high enough timer on Huton, and if we don't, then we are building with Armor Crush. Our 2-minute burst windows have gotten slightly busier and slightly burstier.
