Sage Job Changes and Updates — Dawntrail 7.10

In 7.1, Sage receives a few buffs. Dosis III, Toxikon II, and Pneuma have all been buffed from 360 to 370 potency. In addition, Prognosis, Eukrasian Diagnosis, Eukrasian Prognosis, and Eukrasian Prognosis II have all had their mana costs reduced by 100 MP. Finally, Philosophia has had its range increased from 20 to 30 yalms. None of these changes result in any changes to Sage's gameplay, but there is now less of a need for Piety on gear.

Sage has two notable additions to its DPS toolkit in 7.0. The first is Eukrasian Dyskrasia, an AoE version of Eukrasian Dosis, albeit with less damage per tick. It does not stack with Eukrasian Dosis, so it is generally not useful in single-target scenarios. The second change is Psyche, a new oGCD damage action. This has a 60-second cooldown, so every other usage should fall in two-minute buff windows.

In addition to offensive skills, Sage also gains Philosophia, which temporarily provides the party with healing when using any GCD skill, like an AoE Kardia. Unlike Kardia, it also works with GCD heals instead of only offensive GCDs. It also enhances them, providing a 20% boost to GCD heals.

Finally, Sage gains a few new traits:

• The cooldown of Soteria is reduced from 90 to 60 seconds at level 94.
• Swiftcast cooldown is reduced from 60 to 40 seconds at level 94.
• The potency of Dosis III is increased from 330 to 360 at level 94.
• The duration of regeneration provided by Physis II is increased from 10 to 15 seconds, providing 50% more effective healing.
• Eukrasian Prognosis is upgraded to Eukrasian Prognosis II at level 96, giving a slightly more powerful barrier.
