The Underkeep Dungeon Guide
Welcome to our guide to the Underkeep, an endgame dungeon released in Patch 7.2. This guide aims to prepare players for the dungeon so they will know what to expect, with simple mechanic instructions and notes on what to watch out for.
Introduction

In the waning days of the old kingdom, the people of Alexandria sought a way to survive as their home sank beneath the earth. They built a towering structure that enveloped the royal castle itself, and as the long years came and went, Everkeep grew to soaring heights. Yet some whisper that the castle has withstood the ravages of time, and in the city's foundation endures as a symbol of bygone glory. From within those timeworn depths Calyx sends his transmissions, and you must delve into Alexandria's past to ascertain their source.
Unlocking the Underkeep
Yuweyawata Field Station can be unlocked at Level 100 from the main scenario quest "Descent to the Foundation". It is the capstone dungeon players will encounter in Dawntrail Patch 7.2, Crossroads.
Full Dungeon Guide for the Underkeep
Max-level dungeons should be done with wall-to-wall pulls, as player gear outscales any incoming damage the mobs do. Make sure to mitigate the packs and use effective healing and damage cooldowns to burn the trash down quickly.
First Boss Trash Mobs
No mobs in the first two trash packs are threatening.
Gargant
The first boss uses the following abilities.
- Chilling Chirp: Raidwide magical damage. After the first cast, this is accompanied with large ground AoEs and marked AoEs.
- Almighty Racket: Faces a direction and does a frontal AoE.
- Aerial Ambush: The boss climbs up a pole, then moves around the arena partially hidden by sand. It will charge with a line AoE across the arena starting from the pole it moved to.
- Earthsong: Summons two sets of earth orbs that explode in an AoE.
- Trap Jaws: Physical tank buster.
Second Boss Trash Mobs
The Bygone Subrunner does a donut AoE, so watch out for it. No mobs are threatening besides auto-attack damage.
Soldier S0
The second boss uses the following abilities.
- Field of Scorn: Raidwide magic damage.
- Thunderous Slash: Tank buster.
- Sector Bisector: Summons clones. Clones disappear in order, with the final clone doing a half-room cleave on the side the sword is glowing.
- Ordered Fire: Spawns adds that do a line AoE across the arena.
- Static Force: Conal AoEs that follow players.
- Electric Excess: Marked AoEs on all players.
Final Boss Trash Mobs
The first set of adds can be pulled all the way to the door upstairs. The second set has a mini-boss, the Bygone Roadripper, that does a dash and frontal AoE after turning around as well as a large circle AoE. The frontal AoE can be stunned.
Valia Pira
- Entropic Sphere: Raidwide magical damage.
- Coordinate March: Summons purple spheres at the side of the arena that travel in the path indicated as well as pink orbs. If a purple orb hits a pink orb, it will do a cross-shaped AoE.
- Turrets: Shoot out a line AoE after spawning.
- Electric Field: Spawns several conal AoEs on the ground and players which begin to expand after a delay. Spread out on the large safe spots.
- Neutralize Front Lines: Faces a direction and does a frontal AoE. This is accompanied by marked AoEs on all players.
- Bloodmarch: Spawns a pink orb on the tile shown.
- Deterrent Pulse: Line stack marker on the healer.
Loot
The Underkeep drops item level 725 Underkeep equipment.
