Welcome to our guide to Worqor Zormor, the second dungeon of Dawntrail. This guide aims to prepare players for the dungeon so they will know what to expect, with simple mechanic instructions and notes on what to watch out for.

1.

Introduction

Dungeon 2 Banner FFXIV

Wuk Lamat has undertaken the Feat of Proof, a challenge which has you seeking the whereabouts of the elector, High Luminary Gurfurlur. The search immerses you in the culture and history of the Yok Huy, and ultimately leads your party to the foot of the sacred peak, Worqor Zormor. The elector, you are told, awaits you at its summit, but simply scaling the soaring mountain─and surviving the mountain's denizens─will be a feat in and of itself!

1.1.

Unlocking Worqor Zormor

Worqor Zormor can be unlocked at Level 93 during the main scenario quest "The High Luminary". It is the second dungeon players will encounter in Dawntrail and is located in Urqopacha. Players above Level 94 will be level synced to Level 94 when entering.

2.1.

First Boss Trash Mobs

Players will scale the mountain on their way to the first boss. Mobs begin to deal great damage with auto-attacks, so if do not pull multiple packs if you are uncomfortable with it. However, proper use of mitigation during a pull will help prevent incoming damage.

2.2.

Ryoqor Terteh

  • Frosting Fracas: Party-wide magic damage.
  • Fluffle Up: Summons untargetable adds on the arena that do an AoE.
    • Rorrloh Teh will cover a quarter of the arena where it is facing.
    • Qorrloh Teh will cover a quarter of the arena with a circle AoE.
  • Cold Feat: The boss freezes two adds. These adds have their castbar stopped, and will cast their AoE second.
  • Snowscoop: Summons balls at the edge of the arena that shoots out line AoEs in succession. Stay in the second set and dodge into the first once they go off.
  • Sparkling Sprinkling: Marked AoEs on all players.

The main gimmick of the boss is Fluffle Up and Cold Feat. The boss will encase its minions in ice, literally freezing the castbar so that the AoE that was shown second will go off first. Therefore, if Cold Feat is cast, move from the second safe spot into the first safe spot.

2.3.

Second Boss Trash Mobs

Continue to climb the mountain. The Sloth mobs have a frontal conal AoE that may be dangerous in the small confined cliff, so make sure not to point it towards the party. After the first pack, use the air currents to make your way to the second pack.

2.4.

Kahderyor

  • Wind Unbound: Party-wide magic damage.
  • Crystalline Crush: A tower that requires players to stack inside. Leaves behind crystals on the ground that interact with mechanics.
  • Wind Shot: A marked AoE on all players and a donut AoE where the crystals were. All players need to stack or stay out to avoid hitting each other with the donut.
  • Earthen Shot: A marked AoE on all players and a circle AoE where the crystals were. All players need to stay out and spread to avoid hitting each other.
  • Crystalline Storm: Line AoEs on the ground. Leaves behind crystals on the ground that interact with mechanics.
  • Seed Crystals: Marked AoEs that deal damage and inflicts a debuff that summons Crystalline Debris adds. Kill these to remove the debuff.
  • Sharpened Sights: The next two attacks create a gaze ring that resolves when it reaches the boss in the middle.
  • Stalagmite Circle: Point-blank AoE.
  • Cyclonic Ring: Donut AoE.
2.5.

Final Boss Trash Mobs

While most of the mobs have conal or circle AoEs, the path is larger so there shouldn't be any problems dodging them or not having enough space.

2.6.

Gurfurlur, Dawn's Elector

  • Heaving Haymaker: Party-wide magic damage.
  • Stonework: Summons stone tablets on the arena.
    • Water stone tablets create a knockback from that side.
    • Earth stone tablets create expanding square AoEs and marked AoEs on all players.
    • Wind stone tablets knock back from the centre and summon tornadoes around the arena.
  • Sledgehammer: A multi-hit line stack.
  • Arcane Stomp: Summons orbs around the arena that slowly float towards Gurfurlur. These give a damage up stack to whoever absorbs them, including the boss, so intercept them.
  • Enduring Glory: Massive party-wide damage.
