Welcome to our guide to the Yuweyawata Field Station, one of two endgame dungeons released in Dawntrail 7.1. This guide aims to prepare players for the dungeon so they will know what to expect, with simple mechanic instructions and notes on what to watch out for.

Introduction

Dungeon 9 Banner FFXIV

Before the dome appeared, in the northern region of what is now Heritage Found, a Tonawawtan village was terrorized by a tural vidraal. Zoraal Ja himself led the Landsguard in an effort to quell the beast's boundless fury, yet while the First Promise returned in triumph, few know what became of the village and its people. In your search for clues as to the identity of Gulool Ja's mother, you learn that Zoraal Ja visited the region many times over the years, and that it may be home to a secret research facility. And so you and yours attempt to retrace the King of Resolve's steps and unearth a buried past...

Max-level dungeons should be done with wall-to-wall pulls, as player gear outscales any incoming damage the mobs do. Make sure to mitigate the packs and use effective healing and damage cooldowns to burn the trash down quickly.

2.1.

First Boss Trash Mobs

No mobs in the first two trash packs are threatening. Larger mobs will do medium-sized AoEs that can be easily walked out of.

2.2.

Lindblum Zaghnal

The first boss uses the following abilities.

  • Electrical Overload: Party-wide magical damage.
  • Gore: The boss jumps to a pillar and charges it with electricity.
  • Caber Toss: The pillar shoots out sets of line AoEs in succession. Dodge into the safe spots for each set. The pillar will be tossed to the south of the arena, where it will continue to shoot out sets of line AoEs.
  • Lightning Storm: Marked AoEs on all players.
  • Gore 2: Summons Raw Electrope adds, which begin to cast Electrify. In addition, pulses raidwide damage and spawns ground AoEs with Sparking Fissure.
2.3.

Second Boss Trash Mobs

After entering the lab, adds will spawn and target the closest player. Giant Corses do a conal AoE, so stay near the middle. None of the mobs are threatening otherwise.

2.4.

Overseer Kanilokka

The second boss uses the following abilities.

  • Dark Souls: A magical tank buster.
  • Free Spirits: Curved line AoEs that appear quickly in succession.
  • Phantom Flood: A donut AoE that creates a safe circle in the middle of the arena.
  • Dark II: Two sets of conal AoEs in succession.
  • Telltale Tears: Marked AoEs on sets of players.
  • Lost Hope: All players are inflicted with Temporary Misdirection. The boss does a proximity AoE marker from the middle and creates paths to the edge of the arena. Navigate to the edge.
2.5.

Final Boss Trash Mobs

Mobs hit slightly harder in these packs and are larger, so try to have them pulled tightly together. Otherwise, they do not do anything threatening.

2.6.

Lunipyati

The final boss uses the following abilities.
  • Raging Claw: The boss turns and does a large frontal AoE.
  • Leporine Loaf: Deals raidwide magical damage and creates an arena wall. AoEs spawn that move in the direction indicated by arrows. More AoEs will spawn in circles that rotate to the edge of the arena.
  • Crater Carve: A large circular AoE that destroys the middle of the arena, leaving a ring on the outside.
  • Beastly Roar: A proximity AoE from the boss. This creates a set of rotating circle AoEs that travel across the ring.
  • Jagged Edge: Marked circle AoEs.
  • Turali Stone IV: A magical stack marker.
  • Sonic Howl: Raidwide magical damage.
  • Slabber: A magical tank buster.
