I imagine this will marginally help if you are doing lots of tiny hops near the ground. By making it not stack with thrill, it also is more of a benefit to players who are not very good at dragon riding.

Fire mages were night fae to be surrounded by lots of flammable trees. If there was a dps boost to it, also cool.

At the other end of the spectrum, a kid once asked for help with /s to make a present for their dad. Their language was like that of a 9-year-old at best. The way they were acting, it was either a very convincing fake or someone who used WoW to be able to stay in touch with their dad. I found something useful on the AH, put it in wrapping paper, gave it to them, and told them to mail it to their dad. They seemed really thankful, and ran to the mailbox. Part of me wonders if I shouldn't have encouraged a kid to use /s like that... but you know what? If by chance it was real, then

Soul of iron is easier than the unofficial HC challenge for most mere mortals, but not so much for these two. They were among the fastest to reach maximum level, implying they had virtually no help to get there. Even if they grouped up with others at times, or occasionally traded/purchased things, they couldn't really have been carried by anyone since they were in the lead.

The reason they won't provide a paid account merge service, is that it actually costs them something to do. (They have to re-think how accounts work, and there might be a possibility of account theft so greater customer service resources down the road.) Whereas this is a gravy train for them. It costs basically nothing to do paid character transfers, because they already need infrastructure for free ones. Offering players choice doesn't change the fact that its still free to them.

Also new in 9.1.5 -- party and raid leaders can no longer remove anyone from the party. Everyone must be accepted unconditionally once they join your group. You are encouraged to collaborate and remind them how /magnificent they are.

It has been a stated goal for a few expansions to alternate between content ".0" and minor ".5" patches. The news is therefore entirely unsurprising; not exactly a "wow" (as in surprise) moment.

Jokes like this date back to text-based internet chats, when it could be silly to /slap someone with a large trout. Before everyone jumps to the conclusion that it must inherently have been toxic from the get go... remember that once upon a time our lives weren't on the internet. Things like smart phones and social media didn't exist yet. If you /spit at some anonymous avatar, it wasn't the same thing as spitting at the actual person in real life. Now-a-days, I neither carry a trout to work nor would I consider it advisable to type /slap in a tweet because it could get misunderst

I could understand wanting to see the future bans increase in duration, but it seems unwarranted to drop the hammer at full weight when starting out a ramp-up in enforcement. It's completely normal to start small in a mini-blitz -- give a shot across the bow, so to speak -- but then step it up for everyone including future first-time offenders.

Look at it from another angle though... eliminating false positives means even more intrusive scanning of your hardware. At what point does it become a privacy concern? So the false positives, as unfortunate as they are, must be viewed against both the harms of bots running amok and the scanning of personal computers. PS. Of course, its important that an appeals function exist so the 'collateral damage' is kept to a minimum. And it seems in this case that Blizzard has done just that.

This is exploring if people would be interested in watching something that was about difficulty instead of speed. A different kind of audience than Blizzard is accustomed to watching e-sports. If it works, and draws a crowd, they might expand it.

The first sentence could also apply to the invention of the internet, and the advent of multiplayer with anonymous people. Toxic people will find a way to hurt others, no matter the game. I don't disagree that the game play rules can have a soft effect of egging them on (or reversely calming them down)... but some people will just be hurtful and toxic no matter what you do. That is a part of human reality we just have to accept -- and hopefully mitigate through suitable punishments inline with the EULA.

"They can't fix the game, but they sure can give Bobby Kotick extra 200 million " ---- Respectfully, it is unnecessary to attack anyone at Blizzard over a minor bug in a game. Not even the CEO.
