Hi brew. You're definitely right about getting a non-dagger and adjusting enchants, but there are still some areas to your play that will show huge dividends. Especially on a fight like butcher where you don't have any movement mechanics, and where, with the aid of shadowstep, even the knockback should barely impact your dps. Looking at your uptimes, here are two that show a huge opportunity to improve dps. That makes sense to me, I had never been able to understand why someone told me that. I hadn't listened but good to have someone else shoot it down.

THanks so much, I'll definitely work on my snap-shotting more, that seems to be the biggest area for improvement. In regards to brain-freeze, I was told that at a certain level of gear it becomes much less important to get the brain freeze procs just because of the strength of icicles. Is that true/does that make sense? Also on gearing, yea I think I was mid reforge/regemming when you grabbed it since I do use the weights you describe. Thanks again, that was extremely helpful.

Thanks so much, I was worried I had over committed to the haste breakpoint so I'm glad i asked. If I had a recent log I would have posted it. I'll get one from Malk this week and see if we can better identify the problem.

Hi, long time reader first time poster, lol. I recently was able to get up to the haste break point of 14,242 although I had to do some pretty aggressive haste gemming to get there. I realize that some of my individual gear pieces don't have optimal distribution of secondary stats, but it's what I've got to work with without dropping huge ilvl. I was just hoping to get a quick opinion from one of the experts if my gear gemming/reforging seems to make sense? I don't have a recent log handy, but I know my dps feels a bit lower than I think it should be at ilvl 554. http://us.battle.net/w
