Me and my low dps ; )

Take off Dark Soul glyph, it's useless outside of hellfire assault. You want to sync 20sec DS with ring every time, that's part of the reason why your opener and consequent DS/ring cycles are so weak. You never cast unending resolve, might want to consider using eternal resolve glyph. Your havoc uptime is extremely low. The other two warlocks cast havoc almost four times as much. Managing to split CB on important targets or sniping shadowburns plays a huge part in ember management. You only cast havoc once in the last phase and didn't even touch infernals once, why even play destruction if
  2. CR +GoSac is the only way to go with destruction, period. Make use of your demonic circle and demonic gateway for movement (plan ahead, know where you will be moving the boss etc.). You will need x2 DS for hero during boss burn phase + infernals. Affliction is only an option if you are fine on doomfire+tank add+infernal damage.
  3. Warlocks have been top tier performance wise for many years with a few short breaks in between minor tuning patches. People always complain when things aren't exactly as they want in this game. If they had added DH back in TBC with meta and all that jazz we wouldn't hear a single complaint about demonology's current state. However meta was part of warlock for over 7 years and ripping it out to give it to another class is just another shitty retcon. Lore wise it makes sense for both warlocks and demon hunters to know how to metamorphose. In fact many abilities/effect overlap between classes

    Demo-spec

You've probably missed 6.2 patch notes http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/blog/19806402/fury-of-hellfire-62-patch-notes-23-06-2015#warlock. TL;DR it works. Kinda, not really. Not without legendary ring anyway. On single target focused encounters it is behind both other specs. On fights where you can aoe it's competitive and you can see warlocks play it on some mythic encounters. The group has to cater heavily towards demo aoe -- grip every add pack so that your cata/cw hits all targets -- which isn't happening in nm/hc runs. Trinket Question

The only reason why it's so high up for destruction is because it stacks up with legendary ring proc. Same reason why mythic Shards of Nothing from Highmaul is better than most heroic HFC trinkets including FDS.
  6. If you can, try and get at least a heroic version of GSR. All other options are significantly weaker, including sandman's pouch. UGS (the one from Iskar) is also an option but not as good as GSR on a fight like Gorefiend where adds are all over the place.
  7. For some reason I was thinking of grimoire of sacrifice. Ignore me. >_< @LiquidSteel I think he's referring to some Velhari logs where demonology can do more than 100k dps and seems to strongest of the 3 specs.
  8. As destruction I use FDS on fights where I'm guaranteed to keep my stacks up of the priority target: Iron Reaver, Iskar, Socrethar (on mythic the construct can deal with ghosts alone), Zakuun etc. On any encounter where I know I won't be able to build them up or their uptime is low I use GSR instead. Destructions niche is add cleave/sustained aoe and we have some of the highest burst damage on adds in the game. For instance on Gorefiend you'll be mostly chaos bolting and shadowburning the adds with no time to build up stacks outside of feast of souls phase. On Archimonde I would suggest u
  9. Affliction changes are based purely around single target and do nothing to remedy its multi-target issues. Putting more emphasis on DS uptime and timing haunts with procs properly... These changes are basically reverted nerfs from back in 5.4. Not complaining, this actually gives some small depth to the spec again, albeit its still arguably worst class design in the game right now. Flat 5% damage increase to destruction's single target is okay I guess, I highly doubt it will affect FnB. The main reason why demonology was "viable" at the beginning is that the other two specs (particularly
  10. 1. Grimoire of Sacrifice + Charred Remains for every situation with your gear and mastery. Anything else is a dps loss. 2. Use Desecrated Shadowmoon Insignia and Stone of Fire over Sandman's Pouch. Average INT gain from SoF far outmatches SP in AoE/cleave/ST even if you play destruction full time. Remember, intellect is your primary stat and mastery/crit are secondary. 3. T17 set still has some use in HFC, particularly demonology and to a lesser extent affliction. T18 set is okay for destruction, weak for affliction and situational for demonology (in most cases, this depends on your tr
  11. A few things you can do to improve your dps as affliction on Council: Prepot 2sec before pull, precast haunt (soulburn:haunt if you have picked the talent). Quickly apply UA, Agony and Corruption on one target and soulswap to the other two, main Drain Soul on your primary target whenever possible. Save one charge of Dark Soul, Doomguard and perhaps second pot (may vary on higher difficulties) for hero/lust during Gurtogg's burn phase. Only refresh if your dots are under 30% of their pandemic duration, otherwise you're waisting globals. You barely cast drain soul until 3 minute mark.
  12. That's a DPS oriented throughput trinket and out of all healers restoration druids have the biggest mana issues in the game. Even if every single INT dps class in your group has it, under normal circumstances healers shouldn't be DSI. If at any point your healers are OOM and they're using DPS trinkets like that they deserve to be benched. If you're overgearing the content to the point where you might be 2-3 healing 20man fights, knock yourself out. Also about healers rolling on hybrid/dps gear such as necks/rings/trinkets with no spirit on it. It varies with some classes although I think n

From 13/06/15 QA with Watcher. Q: Why are you nerfing Demonology warlocks to the ground? A: "Because we'd rather you not play demonology" - We aren't bad at math, we didn't overshoot in the beginning. We are just concerned about how the spec plays - it's not super intuitive, and hard to juggle debuffs. We saw Aff and Destro mostly drift over to Demonology. We weren't happy that this was the spec people were forced to play. Also a bit of a trap - most complicated but read that it was the best spec. Guides were complicated/long or just plain wrong. Demo is still viable but probably not the b
