Same here buddy. i really hope that the new numbers compensate for heavy movement fights.

i feel your pain. i have the same feeling. it just doesnt feel right. imo on short fights use them together. since you wont make it for them to align again. PC 0 - 1.5 - 3 FO 0 - 1 - 2 - 3 as you can see it will take 3 minutes before it comes back up together.

im going to try arcane tonight and see how it feels. frost and arcane are both very cloth in sim. with frost im annoyed that PC screws up so many things for frost. 1 if tank moves mage no dmg. 2 if boss moves mage no dmg. 3 MI or elementel only hit the boss not the PC ---> water jet aswell. 4 PC and FO do not have the same CD 5 you if RNG doesnt like you you're screwed, FB basedmg is to low they should nerf procs and put base dmg up.

You know that the Proving grounds scale down/up to your gear? ilvl doesnt mean anything, also interupting the healers and timing is everything of course! but dont forget that not everybody has the perfect timing. proving grounds is all about get through it with all the tools of a mage. meaning if you have tools use them! Sometimes multiple tools can be used to counter certain mobs.

i did it on frost and had 36 seconds left on last round. make sure you count the cooldown from your burst abilities. for example PC can be used every 2 rounds. FO every round. if you have problems with healers you can sheep them or ring of frost. safe the beserking buff for the big guy use the freeze ability on your water elemental blazing speed to get behind mobs that have sheidls IN for the banshee's EDIT: Bananatosser use freeze+IN and a proc or another IN and its dead if he is still a problem use deepfreeze

do you have the numbers on this? on simulationcraft i still see a 2k(normal) and a 4k(mythic) gap between the 2. i love playing arcane but frost gives shiny numbers

Also the stats(haste & mastery) have the upperhand on your gear.
