For raids Mistweaver is 100% viable. As for Mythic +, Mistweaver will be able to clear +10, but will likely need more gear to clear +15 for the artifact skin compared to a resto druid. Most healers have this problem though. While yes, SoTC is an optional talent for Fistweaving in a raid setting, it is generally want you default to. It offers to most dps (your goal when you fistweave), and the free RSK resets can be directly translated into additional free dps/healing. Sometimes you will simply not have the time to cast tiger palm or black out kick. An example of this being

I used vuh'do all the way up to MoP. Really liked it. These days i'm using elvui raid frames because I personally like the style of elvui. By the way i'm just going to say it in this post, if I miss your question it's not because i'm ignoring you :p.

It doesn't interrupt soothing mist to my knowledge.

Yeah that's correct. The alternative would be to just channel soothing mist in your downtime.

It doesn't effect a large part of our output (Extend Life, Revival, Chi-ji and Life Cocoon), and is about equal healing wise per stat point compared to crit for spells that it does effect. The only spell where mastery outscales other stats is effuse, and effuse is a rarely used spell in a raid enivronment.

Crit > haste > mastery @ 90. Mastery is not useful.

Lack of control isn't a huge deal in a 20 man environment in WoD. Due to PoM w/ jade mists, and the smart heal change to ReM. You can now proactively blanket the ReM's, before raid damage happens. The current reason to bring a mistweaver is; a better raid cd (hotfix buffed to be 40% stronger than tranq), higher sustained raid healing (Uplift healing is bonkers atm), Crane stance does an insane amount of dps/hps atm, one of the best if not the best mobility out of all the healers, and the unique utility of being able to ignore all mechanics and solo soak. Mistweavers are in an ext

Spirit is always useful mistweaver at every gear level. This is due to abilities/talents like CJL in Crane, and RJW in serpent. These are extremely powerful abilities that require a massive amount of spirit to use. Luckily most of our BiS has spirit on it. Which is a good thing for us. @90 you should avoid spirit as much as possible. It's extremely hard to OOM, when with spamming RJW.

Biggest thing of note here. The pool of mists rotation is rng due to a lack of MS. From t18 onwards, this talent will gain a considerable dps/hps boost. When we hit 100% MS (which isn't very hard due to tiger strikes). Using CJL is not very taxing (so long as you don't use it overly) using PoM. I should say this now. CJL is more of a later xpac spell. When we're more limited by how much chi we can generate in a gcd, rather than mana. You should always use Power Strikes when you plan on fistweaving. For Chi Explosion. This spell should only be used if you plan on sitting in crane stanc
