<Malice> is a Horde raiding guild located on US-Thrall. Now, we are at 7/7H, 10/10H, in addition to 2/7M Highmaul with only 18 people. And that's where you come in. When Warlords dropped, we made it our mission to clear out Highmaul and, later, Blackrock Foundry on Heroic as quickly as possible, while recruiting for Mythic. Yeah, pray to the RNG gods, but if you're out of a DB phase, use some stored Molten Core procs for Soulfire. I usually pool 3 in case I get a proc of Synergy.

My other trinket right now is a 661 Shards of Nothing, and I switch between Affliction and Destruction as dictated by the fight. Agreed. We even made a channel just for our warlocks to talk shit in.

Time it with Dark Soul, which you should be timing with your bursts and trinket procs.

Thanks, Zagam! I was at 655 for that Butcher kill, FWIW. Affliction isn't SO bad, or at least I was expecting it to be more boring. Maybe that'll come when I'm not trying it for the first time. It's definitely no Demonology, though.

Hey guys, I decided to try Affliction in our 7/7N 2/7H raid last night for certain fights, just to see how it was stacking up. I felt like I did ok, but would love any tips. I feel like I tunnel a bit too hard on my DoT timers (since it's not muscle memory just yet) and mistime my trinkets/DS usage. Couple of notes: I had to do the balancing of the groups on Butcher (actually a big reason I switched to Affliction, to lose less DPS doing this than Destro, which I did the first two weeks). Our Twins kill was a bit sloppy, so I think it hurt my damage while I was running for my life.

I believe that it puts it on a cooldown for the duration of the first trinket. This is just so you can't stack them.

Loved it. I was really worried about our spot on meters, but like Soulzar, if I played well, I parsed well. This was on Normal, we got 4/7 down before calling it. I did Destro GoSup/DS for every boss; the mobility given by the Terrorguard doing ~25% of my damage is really helpful. I got picked to do the balancing of the groups thing on Butcher, tho, which I think is a Demo role. Will try that next week. Overall, I was top 5 damage, but as a "mechanics bot" so I'm happy with it. The ret pally in our guild smoked everyone, though.
