Agravian - Sounds fairly standard to me. I tried aff today and yesterday and i'll use everbloom examples for the DPS.. AoE was horrible, just awful so I hardly felt useful of trash getting anywhere from 8-14k depending on what felt like luck. Witherbark was a static single target DMG fight and I sustained 21k DPS on him. The 3 council guys surprised me, as there was no INCREASE in DPS keeping up 3 sets of DoTs, but rather the same 21k. Seems I just traded my single target burst for more even dmg spread. Overall, AFF felt nice for boss fights nd I hope it makes it into my finalised dual spec fo

Apologies if I missed anything (it's late) but for a general understanding of what I make from these posts. I'm trying to plan my dual spec for raid week, and it's going badly. Having eared up 100% for destro, I have a lot of crit, multistrike and some mastery. I've been trying Demo this past week and I just don't like it. I'm probably just bad at it, but it doesn't do great. It's like you learning how to ride a horse only to go just as fast as your bike took you. Want to try Aff this week and get the feeling it will be good on bosses (raid) when they come. TL;DR DUAL SPEC! Am I right in sayi

Gotta say, been trying it since i got the reply. I've hardly looked hard enough to see if it's a DPS increase, but I'm adoring the ability to play DS for my 100 talent without wanting to re-summon. Like keeping the doomgaurd ready and dropping a serviced abyssal into AoE. Or dual abys AoE. Or just straight up 2 doomguards pouning on the boss. Felt lovely and flexible.

Thanks for the reply! makes me feel better about the RoF thing. I Expected it's why I was going OOM but to know it's normal is great. Hey guys, posted on the WoW lock forums to no avail so thought I'd take my question to the guys who literally wrote the guide of destro! I rerolled lock a few days ago and am loving the mechanics. I feel like I have AoE down and can do pretty well on multi-target fights too thanks to havoc. However on single target fights I appear to rely too heavily on the previous trash packs to do well. I ember farm them and star the boss with 4/4 embers, making it nice and easy. But with raiding around the corner, i expect there to be wipes where I then have to start the fight from 1 ember.
