  1. I think it isn't half as bad as you guys put it, to be honest. Current lootbox system has its own boons and flaws but a couple of things were out of place, e.g. you couldn't spend your real money in a way you really wanted and there was no premium reward thing - you couldn't tell who is a f2p player and who is a whale. From what I see, it's a quality-of-life change that affects people who spend money on HotS. I don't see how it realistically affects you if you don't spend money.
  2. That's why TL;DR Fiery War Axe change is worse than bad and should be reversed ASAP. If there's any element in this equation that needs to be fixed, it's not this one.
  3. Hi everyone, I've been away from Hearthstone for quite awhile. Last time I was heavily invested in it, it was Gadgetzan meta, The Second Shamanstone Age. I had a very heavy burnout playing the game when it wasn't in its best shape. Needless to say, I've missed the good meta of Ungoro and my interest has been rekindled shortly before Hearthstone was broken again. My point : don't follow what I follow, it's a bad omen. Also, last time I made a ban prediction, it turned out in exactly the opposite way, so don't follow much there either, but I have something to say. Ultimate Infesta
  4. Oh, don't get me wrong, but I netdecked that. I just see the changes made by the very best, understand their reasoning and try to convince everyone else that's just strictly better, like a pro player name is not trademarky enough. I don't play as much Hearthstone as I'd like to right now, a bit short on time. But the quad crab configuration steadily gave me stars (12-5 or something like that. I wasted these stars playing dailies, as usual).
  5. My point still stands. There is hardly time and mana to be spent on these Burgled cards, and their consistency never satisfies. With this deck, if you don't spend mana towards your win condition, you're losing. Unless that mana is somehow spent towards not-losing - which Swashburglar can't guarantee - you're losing. It's really the win-more thing here, and from a deckbuilding perspective I'd rather walk the path of optimizing main strategy and improving the consistency of something I have control over - the contents of my deck, and thus what I am most likely going to draw. Bilefin is OK,
  6. I have some concerns about the card choices presented in the guide. First of all - Swashburglar. The card is completely out of place, and I strongly believe it is outdated at the moment and does not belong to Quest Rogue's composture. It gives you Burgled spells on the bounces! Yeah, but do you have any use for them unless you land a really good one? It's not drawing cards, and Burgled spells do not advance your gameplan of assembling the Crystal Core. You don' want to spend your mana on them either, because they are not pieces, and you don't win without completing the quest, period.
  7. TL;DR I'm making 3 major points : Quest Rogue hate is a phase Hearthstone is going through. We've been through it already, and we'll do it again. Public perception is generally flawed as far as "acceptance" is concerned. You should place your own judgement above all, unless you have significant reasons to do otherwise. Relative power level is the most important metric, as far as "acceptance" goes, a.k.a. "It doesn't matter how toxic it is, you can have it if it's bad". Yeah, and whatever you do, just listen to what Kibler says. This guy knows his stuff. I'm specif
  8. You dillute your deck with a lot of subpar choices that do not fit any of your strong sides. I suggest you stick to the Deathrattle strategy and capitalize on it with things like Journey Below, cutting bad creatures like Swashburglar so your Barnes is better, and generally being more concerned about the board rather than securing tempo with spells for things like Edwin VanCleef. Your spell count is quite low to consistently support him, albeit I should admit he has explosive potential anyways. Just pick one side and go for it. It's a rule of thumb for any deckbuilding.
  9. It's about map specifics like timings. Read the blue post again. You can't have a person who's just into the game figure out all the spawn and travel distances at the same time, during the very initial learning stage, unless that person has extensive experience within RTS genre. Timers on the maps aren't the same - we don't have all the objectives spawning at 1:30 etc. - that's why this diversity equals complexity. There isn't an option to ladder on a few select maps you're trying to learn initially either, unless you find a premade gang and go customs. But that's not what everyone is cap
  10. I really like the dust2 argument. Hate that map. I think that giving Blizzard the deciding vote on what are we going to play is not a great idea unless there would be some caveat to it. If the player base votes and gets a bad mappool, well, this one is on us; if They pick a bad mappool, we will blame Blizzard and that's not something They'd want. Map diversity in HotS I feel is twofold : they are different, but still same. What I think needs to be done is this : 1) Clearly identifying the map role - Tomb and Blackheart are PvE payment maps, Temple and Punishers are PvE point cap
  11. I know Icy Veins is not a dedicated Starcraft resource, but I should tell this story to uninitiated, because it's way too much KreyGasm for me to handle. This announcement has been made on March 3, right? You know what also happened on March 3? A very big event for Starcraft Brood War. 10 years ago, on March 3, 2007, a Korean legend Bisu has revolutionized PvZ matchup for years to come. More story here, courtesy of Team Liquid guys. For those who have no clue, Bisu is famous for his outstanding Probe micro. He almost singlehandedly made Probe the most op unit in the game, (I'm dead
  12. So 1 golden in Arena = 1 golden and 2= all of them? Neat stuff. A shame it only took Blizzard 3 years to take ideas from Reedit. And for the love of your money, don't do Arena any time soon. People are known to bank up the good decks and you'll be frustrated more than usual. Cheers!
  13. Blizzard : "Here's some announcements of competent changes!" Me : "Finally! They look like they care about their game and know what they are doing!" Blizzard : "nvm lol we have no clue" Me : "nvm lol".
  14. Is Pyroblast that worth it without the "combo" with the Inkmaster Solia?
  15. Soggoth is definetly outdated. It's redundant in C'thun shell and was there mostly to combat Midrange Shaman and Malygos Druid, who are nearly extinct for the context. Blood to Ichor is just as situational as before, being excelent on the draw but rather mediocre on the play. I always liked a 1-of as a middle ground, but given the strength of suggested tech choices and the absence of Grom Hellscream in the deck you can shave it down to zero copies.
