Man, Firelands Portal is even more insane in this brawl than otherwise. 7 mana for 5 damage, a 5 drop, and a 7 drop. It's not exactly a coinflip, it's more like a best-of-9 coinflip championship.

I'd guess that this may hint at them expanding the mechanic they used for Cho'Gall where you spend health ("red mana") instead of regular mana to play a card. Maybe that paired with an increase in healing cards?

Not sure if they delayed it, or made a mistake in the launch, but I just played this week's brawl and it's ShiftCon, with a deck full of Shifter Zerus.

My favorite deck of the weekend was entirely an anti-mill-druid deck. Innervate, Naturalize, and a stealth minion. Naturalize all their coldlight oracles if they leave any on the board, plus your own minions after you attack, their whole strategy then falls apart and they either concede or mill themselves to death. So, so satisfying. (deck worked ok but not great against all the other opponents, but was worth it)

I ended up beating heroic quite easily first try by using one of my ladder decks (I think it was c'thun warrior). I just let the boss fill their side with 1/1 plates and only killed minions that buffed the plates. Very quickly they had a full board and a full hand, zero room to play any buffing minions, and were burning their draw cards. Maybe I just got lucky, but it seems with only 2 copies of a single card in their deck that can buff without playing a minion, leaving a bunch of 1/1 tokens on the board worked ok without any special deckbuilding.

Thought it could be fun to play hunter with all the various class spells, but one thing worth noting is that whatever they did to implement one-turn-stealth, it's not cleared by flare, or at least didn't when I tried it shortly after the brawl went live.

My favorite for the "this game will last to turn 30" category was Armorsmith/Whirlwind. At one point I had a 7 minion board and 150+ armor before I got a resignation.
