It's hard for me to choose. In Vanilla/BC it was easy for me to just identify with Shaman because it was my only level 60/70 and had all my playtime. I didn't play again until WoD, and now it feels like every class is similar and they were so easy to level that they almost seem like PTR characters.
I guess if I had to choose one I'd say Shaman is still my favorite thematically, but I don't really enjoy playing them anymore because they're so different. As for the NPC, I liked Thrall a lot in Warcraft 3, but in WoW I don't really care for any of the shaman NPCs.
