I'm gonna cut straight through this. A lot of automation goes on to moderate a subreddit, in the form of moderation bots and such. With the API changes, moderators that do this kind of stuff in their free time, would now have to either pay to keep the moderator bots/automation online, or just quadruple their non-paid workload. That should void all misconceptions regarding it being political/emotional/cancelculture

You know, I don't want to take a stab at "But Blizzard is just an indie dev.", but they deserve it here. Thousands if not tens of thousands of games can make the player completely invulnerable with a simple console command. This console command usually is changing one line of code that makes it so the player cannot receive any damage. For certain games you need a small extra so that you can't get, what's called, telefragged. This is a noclip console command. And guess what, this is literally another one line of code. No, indie devs did it better in the 90s.

There are tonnes of other sets and builds that are 15-25 grifts behind the S builds. So in one way you could interpret what you quoted as a complaint as to why the other builds weren't balanced.

The raid boss of course only counts with a full team of players with the same restrictions, without buying power from outside sources for gear etc. So that practically invalidates world boss drops as well. I'm not sure you can kill a normal raid boss when you play the rules that way. Perhaps there are some raid bosses that don't require a tank spec. Then you may have a fighting chance.

You're always going to get disappointed if you aim for fotm and then are surprised fotm is an abbreviation literally meaning Month. The toolkits some classes have also vastly overshadow a 5 or 10% dps difference. In M+ even moreso if it allows you to bypass an entire group of troublesome mobs or shut down one enemy in a pack. At least there's 1 spec for your class performing well in m+, some other classes were not so lucky.

Well Rextroy, since you've been playing this game a bit shorter than me despite me having stopped since BFA, I'll tolerate it seeming weird to you. ... But I still judge you, for Blizzard has been well known for making changes like these arbitrarily. Maybe you forgot about the GCD changes in BFA that made certain tanks terrible and clunky (RIP warriors) and it took them half a year to figure out they needed to do something about it. Or a certain expansion that made warriors have a CD that made them 100% CC immune for 30 entire seconds in PVP, because THAT seemed reasonable to the dev

I really like that they slice some of these effects by 50% or even >75% (i.e. the 50% heal for 30 seconds to 20% heal for 20 seconds.) It's a pure reflection of the current team's sense of balance. Who knows, maybe Season 2 or Hotfix #666 will buff them back by 400%.

Can also use things like TV into another instance (dungeon or continent will force a load)
