I am sorry, but I can't understand why you wouldn't bother with Rend while using the Wastes set. Can someone help clarify that? Rend at base is doing 1100% weapon damage over 5 sec to any enemy within 12 yards (220% dps area effect). Wastes increases this amount PER SECOND by 500% and then lengthens the effect to 15 seconds. I am reading that as 1100% / 5 sec = 220% weapon damage per second for 5 seconds becomes (220x5) 1100% weapon damage per second for 15 seconds (16,500% weapon damage total, not that many enemies will last 15 seconds through that).
