kinztz 1 Report post Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) I know in beta holy was strong due to a lot of disc nerfs. However it seems like everyone is disc shield spamming now since the buffs disc received since beta. Is holy still competitive? Is there a reason to be holy aside from already having another disc priest? Alternatively is it holding up well against other healing classes? Espiee 161 Report post Posted January 21, 2015 Is holy still competitive? Alternatively is it holding up well against other healing classes? It's important to realise that holy and discipline fill two completely different niches. Discipline is a tank or pre-emptive healer, whereas holy is focused on throughput and raid healing. Holy is definitely competitive, but it's not with discipline, it's with the other raid healers, monks, shamans and druids. Is there a reason to be holy aside from already having another disc priest? If you need a raid healer more than another tank healer sure. Personally if you're indifferent or willing to play either spec, if you're the only healing priest in your raid, I'd recommend you go discipline. There's no other healer that can fill disciplines role and plenty that can replace holy.
