hcbobo 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2015 Hey guys, I would like to have a bit of advice. Right now I'm playing elemental on my alt shaman., And it's an okay specc. But bossfights with high movement, I feel elemental lacks. Do you feel enh is a better specc then elemental as it is right now? Dont get me wrong, Elemental are insane when u can stand there and smash your buttons but when it comes to movement it lacks alot. As i try to loot some rings/back/necks/trinkets for enh, And maybe respeccing enh. Would I be able to hear any comments ? Regards hcbobo
Juvis 2 Report post Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Hi there. Ele shammy main here, First of all, imo, it doesn't come to what is performing better but (in the same priority) 1)what your guild needs 2)what you prefer, because we are comparing a ranged with a melee spec and the differences are huge. If for any reason those factors don't bother you its a fact that "for now" at this tier Enha performs better than Ele. Hope i helped! This is basically exactly the same as the advice I would normally give. 1-up! :-)
Karanir 15 Report post Posted January 25, 2015 I recently swapped from elemental to enhancement. I am a dps OS so the comments below are for heroic fights only. Haven't attempted dpsing on mythic. The advice given is good. Play what you enjoy and what your guild needs. The play styles are completely different Kargath : enhancement can go on stands to aoe adds and don't have to worry about dodging berserker rush (never stand between him and a fire pillar). No clear winner here Butcher : elemental is good here. Single target, little movement. Enhancement is about 5 to 10% behind. Tectus : enhancement pulls ahead due to fire Nova, magma totem, liquid magma. Brackie : both specs are bad cos cleave isn't our strong suit. Elemental is actually Okay if you know how to stutter step and use your instant spells wisely. Twins: both specs aren't good. Enhancement has poor mobility compared to other melee like monks and warriors. Koragh and imperator: enhancement shines in both fights. Overall, I prefer enhancement as it's aoe is vastly superior to Elemental. Its single target is weaker, but not by much. Furthermore, enhancement is better on the last 2 (harder) bosses.
SkuulzonVelen 2 Report post Posted January 27, 2015 Thinking about starting up a Shammy and wondering if either spec is better with 2 - 1h or 2h weapons?
Pandacho 286 Report post Posted January 28, 2015 Thinking about starting up a Shammy and wondering if either spec is better with 2 - 1h or 2h weapons? I don't play a dps Shaman in this expansion, but from my knowledge Ench uses 2 1h weapons and Ele 2h or 1h with offhand.
