[Protection] How much Health should I have?

Recommended Posts

I feel like my warrior has a small pool of health. Only 285k-290k buffed. I am currently at 636 iLvl.

Here is my armory link. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/skullcrusher/Impp/advanced

I was wondering if it is okay to have a small health pool? I am using trinkets with bonus armor but have not been lucky enough to get a stamina trinket.

I haven't felt overwhelmed in LFR but have not tried Highmaul normal yet.

What are your guys thoughts? Should I try to buy Kyb's Foolish Perserverance?(sorry don't know how to link to WowHead.

Stam is not much of an issue to be honest. More health without more mitigation means you'll just force your healer to waste more mana on you. Forget stam trinket unless they are clearly an upgrade, Bonus Armor > Stam. Also, gem crit and not stam, enchant crit as well at your level. The mitigation is higher from crit than it is from mastery at your ilvl.

 Bravo! This.

So you are saying that Crit is higer priority than mastery at this point?

When does that switch over?

When the DR on parry makes the % static block gain from mastery trump the % parry gain from crit. It's not really a precise point, though. Ideally, you want to have crit and mastery roughly even because your ideal gearing is BA+crit for necks, rings, and back and crit+mastery for everything else. I expect mastery to overtake crit some time in later BRF. I'm just shy of 680 right now (678 IIRC) and crit's DR isn't an issue yet.
