I totally agree.  I wanted to take the time to say thank you for your knowledge, time and effort that you took to make this awesome guide.  By far the most informative that I have found.  I really look forward to continued posts.  Keep up the good work

Love the guide, just have a quick question about gems. For the fire variant, how does replacing pain enhancer w/ Bane of the Powerful stack up? I would think 15/35% against the toughest foes would edge out a physical dot on crit with a useless (for this build) secondary, but I'm still pretty new to end game.

Hello! While Bane of the Powerful is not a bad choice, it's a universal rule in Diablo that stacking too heavily into one source of damage (in this case elite bonuses) will lessen your benefits from it. In the ideal case scenario, you're already running Furnace (up to 50% Elite damage), Stone of Jordan (up to 30%) and Unity (up to 15%). Since the non-elite damage bonus of BotP doesn't increase with levels, only the length of the buff, you'll find yourself at the mercy of RNG to keep it up in progression environments (sometimes the elites aren't there, or take longer, etc.), and a consistent source of physical damage like the Pain Enhancer is prefered.

Just decided to roll a barb since i had an ancient Furnace drop for me and follow this guide. Only thing i see is if we are running Furnace as a weapon we can be using it in Kanai's Cube because the benefits don't stack. What is a good alternative cube option?

I would likely try a Heart Slaughter polearm in hand and Furnace in the cube. Keep in mind the set is bound for a rework in an upcoming patch, and some of the recommendations might be misplaced a few months down the line! :)

The furnace weapon and the furnace cube don't stack right? So what would I run in the cube if I'm equipping an ancient furnace?

Probably cubing the Furnace and wearing a Heart Slaughter would be your best option at the moment. I would encourage you to look into other builds however (HotA, Rend, Whirlwind...) as the Furious Charge build is currently underpowered and is set for a rework in Patch 2.4 (coming out in a few weeks!)

Out of curiosity if I have a furnace in hand and a rimeheart in cube will the rimeheart trigger off of furious charge's freeze effect?

I'm still gearing up for this build and keeping it physical based but looking for an extra boost until I find the right pieces.

It should.  I can't think of any reason it wouldn't.

The set bonuses come only from having enough pieces; which pieces you have doesn't matter.  So any 5 pieces of the IK set plus any 3 pieces of the Raekor set will work.  The catch is, only the IK set has a belt and only the Raekor set has shoulders, so those two pieces are mandatory.  For the other spots, you can mix and match your best pieces from either set to come up with the right numbers.

Another noob question, with 4 pieces of Raekor set, you'll get "Furious Charge gains the effect of every rune"...

But some runes turns damage into Cold, Lightning or Fire... What the output will be ??

It will be of the selected rune type, so make sure to select a Physical one (I recommend unruned or Stamina).

I was wondering how should we heal ourselves with this build, I had to change a passive to take bloodthirst because I die to often without any healing oriented stat or passive, there is no life per fury spent on the stats priority so I didn't roll any on my gear did I miss something ?

Why use bloodthirst?

My weapon already give life per fury.

Isn't Brawler a better choice? Or defensive like superstition?

Hello.

My question is: how do you keep on furious charging the Rift Guardian after he breaks the CC from FC? Whenever me and my ancients are close to the guardian he nearly always seems to attack me instead any of the ancients. Any tips on surviving the fight when the boss breaks CC? I can easily dodge their special abilities but whenever I get close to them I get one shotted to death.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Cheers!

High 60s. I've done GRift 69 recently, but I barely managed to do it as, like I mentioned earlier, the Rift Guardian kept on one-shotting me and so I finished it with under a minute time left. I will try to do GRift 70 in the nearest future, however, I don't think it will be an easy one when I still don't know how to survive(keep on dodging?) Rift Guardian's melee attacks.

Ah, ok.  That's higher than what I have experience in, so I can't be much help.

You could try diamonds in your chest and pants.

It would also help if you get some more of your gear in ancient quality.

Glass cannon is putting it lightly. You're so tender. However there is one huge flaw with this build, beside being very vulnerable, if there are two mobs for whatever reason, that really screws everything up. You get only a couple of seconds off your charge, so that means you probably have 5-6 seconds where you can't do anything - beside moving away, or you risk dying. These situations do not arise often but when they do, it'll hurt.

As for greater rifts, it's all about getting the *right* rift and an easy boss for your build. It's typical blizzard game, all boils down to RNG.

Blizzard have moved the launch of Season 34 back a week!
While it was supposed to start today, Blizzard cite players not wanting the new D3 and D4 season launches to overlap on the same week, and needing more time to get the season properly set up, as the previous one ended early.
      Season 34 Delay (Source)
      Hi all
We have shifted the start for the new season of Diablo III to next week. This is due to a few items:
We received a good amount of feedback that many didn’t want overlap with the first weekend of Diablo IV’s new season. We agree so we are building out that gap and will be more mindful of that going forward.
This will help us properly ensure account states migrate over as we had an issue with the prior season rolling early and us having to kick things back on.
You can find the exact times on our Season 34 blog.

Blizzard has posted an official preview of Diablo 3's upcoming Season 34 that starts on January 24!
The ongoing Season 33 ends on January 19. Season 34 reintroduces the Light's Calling Season theme, which means players can obtain Angelic Crucibles, consumables that may be used to Sanctify any Legendary item, infusing it randomly with one of three new class-specific powers. Cosmetic rewards for the patch are as follows:
Completing the Season 34 Guarian journey grants the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.
Haedrig's Gift will award you with the following sets in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival For more information about Season 34, check out the official blog post below.

Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 34: Light’s Calling. Starting on January 24 at 5 p.m. PST/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Light’s Calling theme, which first debuted with Season 27. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 33 will officially come to an end on January 19.
      Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Season Theme
Looking to turn the tide of an unremitting war between light and darkness, the Angels of the High Heavens have embedded a token of their righteousness in Sanctuary. Cunning Nephalem seeking an advantage in combat will undergo an angelic trial, crystallizing a symbol of their morality into pure, otherworldly perfection. The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown—an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Go forth, Nephalem!
Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random. We wanted to use Angelic Crucibles to lean into the expertise of each class, further exemplifying its respective prowess, but through a nuanced lens. The High Heavens are home to ethereal splendor, bursting with boundless radiance—we wanted to provide players with a taste of untainted power as doled out from Heaven itself.
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
In Season 34, awards originally available from Season 10 are returning. In addition to the Head and Shoulder slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Black Soulstone themed portraits and the scholarly Loremaster pennant first introduced in Season 10.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic ones for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth alongside the Shades of the Nephalem and complete the Season 34 Guardian Journey to earn the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five:
Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete two Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at level 70 in under 15 seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top
      Seasonal Conquest
Seasonal Conquests are additional goals you can complete as part of our Season Journey. To earn all the cosmetic rewards, you'll need to complete at least three of the Conquests below. The challenges available in Season 34 include:
Sprinter and Speed Racer task you with completing Acts I through V at max level in under one hour. Want to go fast while killing things? Boss Mode and Worlds Apart are right up your alley. On A Good Day and I Can’t Stop are making a return, if leveling your Legendary Gems is more your thing. Finally, if you’re keen to prove your mastery of various Class Sets, Years of War and Dynasty will be returning along with Masters of the Universe and Masters of Sets. Best of luck! Return to Top
      Haedrig’s Gift

Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works.
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. These contain a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. In this season, Haedrig's Gift will grant all-new class sets introduced with previous Seasons.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 34:
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages Crusader - Aegis of Valor Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands Monk - Patterns of Justice Witch Doctor - Mundunugu’s Regalia Wizard - Typhon’s Veil Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival Return to Top

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.
      Season End (Source)
Heard and got some pings while I’ve been out and I have production checking on this early end. This shouldn’t have ended today so something is funky. Will provide an update once I hear back.
