Thanks for expanding on 'fishing'.  I had been wondering how the top was achieved, as many youtubes I see have multiple deaths (the time penalties), but with the right PRNG mobs, I know a run can be much faster.

Fishing for rifts is unfortunately the key to making sure you reach those high ranks, especially with a build like this. I remember when I watched Quin push for the first time a while ago and thinking, "Why is he exiting the game if he still has 4 minutes on the boss?". There are times where you have fished enough that you know exactly what you can or cannot do.

Great article.

I'm using this build and its very powerful. On the downside as previous writer says sometimes it sucks not having any other attack when you miss the mobs. I feel like running around like a chicken.

I will use this for now but when i get some better gear i will most likely use a whirlwind build or something more fun. I see this item with 300% whirlwind damage but it has never dropped for me "yet".

Yeah, if you mess things up, this build really does make you feel like you're basically waiting for a pack of mobs to just destroy you. Practice makes perfect, though!

As for the WW item, I know the feeling. It has taken me a few seasons now to get the Wand of Woh for Wizard, it finally dropped this season. It feels great when it does!

Thanx for great guide Deadset.

One question though, I see that at the moment highest GR is done with pure charge build, but I find that Boulder toss is doing way more damage.

I tried charge build (6 IK/4RK + Standoff + Vile ward) and I feel vastly underpowered in terms of damage. It is possible that I am doing something wrong, but charging through them and dumping fury seems like logical thing to do.

I have to say that I play mostly solo.

It is to do with fishing. This build has to continuously fish for the perfect rift, then it can absolutely destroy the mob density. Unfortunately, it can then be ruined by a bad boss. So more fishing.

It's super unreliable, but when it works, it's crazy good.

Just tried this build and it is so much fun. Thanks for such an awesome, detailed guide!

One question: I am not able to keep Wrath of the Berserker up full time, despite dumping my fury into Ancient Spear what I feel is quite regularly. Any tips?

It might be that you can't - if so, simply kite until it is back up and stack mobs so that you are ready for your big damage! :)

Unfortunately, every build has strengths and weaknesses - Raekor is incredibly strong vs. trash but is terrible against RGs.

You'll need to fish for good rifts that have AoE/Minion bosses.

Great guide!

One noob question, if I am using boulder toss with weapon damage rune, but my weapon has a lightning damage affix, should I have +% lightning damage on my wrists? And not +% physical damage?

Is there any way to get a Patch 2.5 update to this build and the IK6.R4 iteration of it. I'd like to see a comparison of Strongarm Bracers vs APD's and Area Damage (AD%) suggestions made as well.

Thank you for all the great builds!!! :)

Hello,

Started this season (season 10) as a first time barb player and decided to go with this build as my play style.  I have a question about how the furious charge ability works.  So far I am able to manage around t10-11 difficulty but I notice that I am running out of my furious charges quite often.   I was using the stamina rune to help generate more fury to use my boulder more often but then tried to switch to merciless assault and I still am running out of my charges pretty quick.  I try to aim for large density mobs or single mob's to keep my charges up but I am having terrible luck while in my rifts.  Anyone have any pointers that could potentially help?

Thanks

I just came back from a long break, having grown bored of ww, I figured I'd give this build a try, and from what I've gathered that's just one of the problems the build unfortunately has. It's strange the way charge works, sometimes I hit one mob and my charges refill, others I hit 3 and still have a 2 sec cd.

Hi, I am playing this build for the first time in the 6R/4IK configuration as I found the 6IK/4R not as strong. I am stuck at just under at 60GR and try to figure out what I need to do to get to 70GR.

I was confused by this statement in the guide and was hoping for clarification.

"You will be taking 5 pieces from one set and 3 pieces of the other depending on the build variation you choose — 5 Immortal King / 3 Raekor for a Furious Charge Furious Charge-dominant spec, or 5 Raekor / 3 Immortal King for a spender-dominant spec. "

Wouldn't the 5R/3IK be the furious charge dominant spec? Understanding this will likely help me as I'm set up as a furious charge build with the 5R/3IK set. Thx!

No, that wouldn't make any sense. Look at the 6 piece bonuses. IK's 6 piece is just do 400% more damage. Raekor's 6 piece is all about building up stacks of Charges so your spenders hit harder, which means all the damage comes from spenders, not charge.

You just have to learn the radius of charge's effect, which just takes practice. It's much bigger than it looks. Also, since the Raekor's 4 piece bonus grants you every rune, changing what rune you have equipped ONLY changes the damage type, nothing else.

It's not strange at all. The 2 piece bonus of Raekor's clearly says hitting 1 mob refunds the charge, and the 4 peice gives you all the runes, including Merciless Assault. Depending on your CDR, you shouldn't charge groups of 2-3 when you're low on charges.

The key thing to note here is that Furious Charge is not a spender, so it is not buffed by the Raekor 6-piece. IK 6-piece does buff the damage of Charge.

This is most likely a problem with your actual gear. You likely have the correct slots, but they are poorly itemised. Can you show me a link to your character?

Would the Raekor dominant Seismic Slam variant cube Fury of the Vanished Peak in the weapon slot? Or is it still Standoff?

Also, is Warzechian Armguards viable for the Furious Charge IK dominant spec (since it scales with Standoff)?

Blizzard have moved the launch of Season 34 back a week!
While it was supposed to start today, Blizzard cite players not wanting the new D3 and D4 season launches to overlap on the same week, and needing more time to get the season properly set up, as the previous one ended early.
      Season 34 Delay (Source)
      Hi all
We have shifted the start for the new season of Diablo III to next week. This is due to a few items:
We received a good amount of feedback that many didn’t want overlap with the first weekend of Diablo IV’s new season. We agree so we are building out that gap and will be more mindful of that going forward.
This will help us properly ensure account states migrate over as we had an issue with the prior season rolling early and us having to kick things back on.
You can find the exact times on our Season 34 blog.

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.
