For my build i use the new Etched Sigil with this and Hergbrash you can pretty much cast Disintegrate forever so for my skills i use: Teleport(wormhole) Blizzard(apocolypse) Black hole(blazar) Meteor(meteor shower) and Energy twiser(gale force). With my passives being Evocation, Unwavering will, Unstable Anomoly, and conflagation.

For my equipment i use the Firebirds set excpet for the off-hand with my weapon being Deathwish. I use the travelers pledge set and the Ring of Royal Grandeur for my other ring which gives me the opportunity to have 5 pieces of the firbird set but still get the bonus with the Mantle of channeling shoulder.

With this build I am able to put out a large amount of AoE fire damage building up firebird stacks to large groups. Black hole is my main source of CC and teleport to get me out of tight spots. Since i have Hergbrash and Etched sigil I am able to stand in 1 spot without needing much arcane power so there is no need for a signature spell. If i were to take a large amount of damage unstable anomoly and the reviving meteor will keep me alive.

Right now i mostly just play on torment 5, havnt done too much of torment 10 with this build so defense might be needed for that.

I have been utilizing the Crown of the Primus (slow time gets all rune effects) in my armor cube slot (don't have the recommended yet) and swapped Frost Nova out for Slow Time.

I have to say, it makes it very simple thus far! Slow Time with all the runes is quite powerful.  Being that I am rarely above 90% Arcane Power for long, I think this may be stronger in the end.

I've had great success with this build.  I'm up to GR 59, shooting for GR 60 tonight!  My only ancient item equipped thus far is the Firebird Talons.  Great guide!

Hi, thanks for the guide.

Most of your guides list 3 sockets for torso and 2 sockets for pants as first in the 'Stat Priorities for Gear Slot'. Can you explain why sockets on armour aren't a priority in this build?

Hey, so I have been using this build still missing 2 or 3 items tbh. But I was thinking could you use unique_ring_023_p2_demonhunter_male.pngObsidian Ring of the Zodiac instead of p2_unique_ring_wizard_001_demonhunter_maHalo of Arlyse. Because this way you can use your frost nova when you want instead of the 50% chance when you het hit for 10% life. And you will have a nice cdr on your teleport as well. Let me know what you think

My gear isn't good but, enough to have all the required pieces along with the cubing. I can do tx fairly safe but it ain't easy by no stretch of the imagination. You do "good" damage against elites, but vs trash mobs, it's really bad. You basically want an elite pack *in* the trash pack to kill them otherwise your damage is just too low. I can see this working somewhat "fine" in high dense rifts but let's be honest here for a second, how often do you see those. You put a pack of mobs on fire and they don't even follow you and things like that really makes you suffer with this set.

I might add that some rift guardians will be very tough. I can just imagine how hard this would be in a greater rift when all tiny mobs die and you're left alone with a billion hp boss. The damage I was taking really took me by surprised considering all the items to reduce it. You basically *never* go below 90% mana, at least I never did, my mana was always at 99% when channeling. Mobs still hurts you really bad tho, especially some rift guardians or elite packs.

This was the only set I had on my wizard, working on a few others following the guidance of this site. Personally I would not recommend this, but it might shine with great ancient gear - but then again, what wouldn't.

I'm wondering how Disintegrate: Convergence compares to Arcane Torrent: Flameward. On the face of things Arcane Torrent seems to do more damage while also hitting multiple enemies and it costs less to channel. Wouldn't it's higher dam % get you to the max for the 4 part bonus faster?

As noted in the guide, yes. To quote:

"...the unique_bracer_102_x1_demonhunter_male.pn Ancient Parthan Defenders, whose unique property triggers off Freeze effects as well (inexplicably missing from the item tooltip). "

Great build and a great guide. Got a few questions.

1) I've got most of the items, still missing Halo of Arlyse. Should I still use Frost Nova? Or is there a substitute?

2) Which follower do you think suits best? I run with Templar, simply because I only have his legendary relic.

3) That said, as I skip small-ish groups of creeps, my Templar often engages them and dies. Any advice on that? I am playing T7 and doing GR38–40.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. HOW DO I LOOT THE HALO??? I WANT IT SO BAD :((((((

Is there a reason why you prefer Disintegrate/Convergence over Arcane Torrent/Flame Ward?  Arcane Torrent deals more damage across the board with less Arcane power used.  The only advantage I see for disintegrate is distance, but the build is set up to go into a pack and stand there.  Just wondering if there's something I'm missing.

1. You can temporarily substitute it with another utility skill like Black Hole - Blazar or Slow Time - Exhaustion.

2. I'd go with Templar too! He's pretty useful with those clutch heals.

3. You should probably look for the invulnerability relic for the Templar! It is called Enchanting Favor :)

4. You can gamble for rings and / or try to upgrade rare (yellow) rings into legendary rings in the Cube and try to get Halo this way. The recipe is called Hope of Cain and requires 1 rare item (ring in your case), 25 Death's Breaths and 50 of each material (yellow, blue and white).

Thank you very much for your reply! I used exactly this method to get the Halo last week, and it is amazing.

I am now just the amulet away from getting the full set.

Further question – do you use Unity with your Templar? I found it quite useful doing GR50+. However, which of the two rings can it replace? Granted, as long as I do not have the Endless Walk Amulet, I substitute out the set ring... Thoughts?

Thanks again for your reply!

What do you think about a variation of this build cubing the Etched Sigil instead of the Furnace? With the rework of Firebird's, elites aren't much of an issue. I'm using Blizzard-Apocalypse instead of Familiar, letting the Sigil autocast it. I just stumbled on this because I don't have a Furnace and the Sigil seemed like the most useful weapon I have that I could cube for this build.

Why not use Magefist as gloves? I think they give a huge damage buff - unless you rely on the Aquila Cuirass to not die.

Have you tried fitting two of the items of Vyr's set into this build so you can set stuff on fire dressed as an Archon? I find that it kills things really fast, but I have trouble getting rid of it's squishyness, especially since I'm used to playing barbarians, mostly.

It is a very strong option, in fact I will likely transition the guide into an Etched Sigil variation (especially considering the buff to the set planned in the upcoming 2.4.1 patch.

You definitely gain a lot from the Aquila. I don't think I'll survive much without it past GR65.

As for the Vyr question, no! :) I'll take a look into mixing the sets.

Is Fire Damage type required for the Deathwish weapon?  Or is the weapon damage type irrelevant as long as the numbers are high?

A brand new season arrives in Diablo 3 next month! Blizzard have the full preview ready so let's take a look at the cosmetic rewards, season journey, Haedrig's Gift sets, and more!
      Season 33 (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 33: Shades of the Nephalem. Starting on October 25 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Shades of the Nephalem theme, which first debuted with Season 22. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 32 will officially come to an end on October 20. Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Patch 2.7.8
      Season Theme
The shadows, they are moving, and they seem… animated. Like they have a will of their own. Whatever this trickery is, perhaps you can use it to your advantage. Let’s see what the demons say when you fight side by side with your own shadow! Shadows of the Past: Activating a Shrine/Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class, who will come with a randomly chosen 1 of 3 predetermined builds. This clone's power will scale with your character and will last for 1 minute (unless your character dies). See this article for the shadow clone variations that can spawn when activating. Kanai’s Cube: Kanai’s Cube will have a fourth slot this season. This fourth slot will have the choices of the first 3 slots but will not stack with any of them, providing additional flexibility to your build. Return to Top Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to any who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 33, this means awards originally available from Season 9 are returning to the Season Journey. However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve already participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth in the Trial of Tempests to earn the Stupendous Contraption pet and the Industrial Portrait Frame.
In addition to the Chest and Gloves slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Pandemonium portraits, and the cute and craggily Rocky pet first introduced in Season 9. Return to Top Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five: Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a Level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete 2 Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at Level 70 in under fifteen seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a Level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top Seasonal Conquest
Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 33? Here are the challenges you’ll face: For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at level 70 on Torment X or higher. Also returning for Season 33 is Sprinter/Speed Racer, where you’re challenged to complete the entire Diablo III campaign from Act I to Act V at Level 70 in under an hour! Next is Avarice/Avaritia, where all that glitters is gold—that is, if you can complete a 50 million Gold streak outside of The Vault or its Inner Sanctum. We're also bringing Thrill/Superhuman, which requires completion of a Greater Rift Level 45—solo and without any Set items equipped. And lastly we'll be bringing back Speed Demon/Need for Speed, meaning you'll need to beat a Torment X Nephalem Rift at Level 70 in 2 minutes. Best of luck! Return to Top Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works: Completing Acts II, III, and IV of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely! The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 33: Barbarian - Might of the Earth Crusader - Thorns of the Invoker Demon Hunter - The Shadow's Mantle Monk - Monkey King's Garb Witch Doctor - Raiment of the Jade Harvester Wizard - Firebird's Finery Necromancer - Grace of Inarius Return to Top Patch 2.7.8
Our next patch goes live on October 22 and introduces quality-of-life updates for demon slayers on Mac. New Mac Executables/Mac Native Silicon and Intel: These updates will allow Diablo III to run on new versions of the macOS. PC Experience Stability: This PTR is open to both Mac and PC players. While the focal point of the 2.7.8 PTR is to test technical updates for Mac, we want PC users to monitor their playing experience as well. If you experience any stability issues or difficulties in connecting with Mac players, please give us that feedback. Return to Top

The Season of Ethereal Memory will start later today at 5 p.m. PDT (NA Servers), 5 p.m. CEST (EU Servers), and 5 p.m. KST (Asian Servers). The theme of Season 32 was first introduced with Season 24 and is now back for another round!

The theme of the season reintroduces the Ethereals, which are rare and powerful items known from Diablo II and reimagined for Diablo III. You will be able to hunt for all 21 iconic weapons of Diablo 2 during the season, but this time they will be harder to find and will only drop in Ancient or Primal rarity!

To help you with the start of this new season, our team has been busy updating all of our Diablo 3 guides to reflect all the changes ahead of the season launch. You can find our Season 32 Hub, as well as guides for leveling, the season mechanic, rankings, season start guides for each class, and even conquest guides, in the list below.

Furthermore, the end of journey rewards (originally introduced in Season 17) are back: The Teganze Warrior portrait frame and the Bat pet!

As an interesting side note, the portrait frame you can earn this season is named after Teganze, a zone that was first introduced in Diablo 2 and will be revisited during our journey in the upcoming expansion of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred!

Season 32 in Diablo 3 starts on July 12 and here is the official preview with more details.
      (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 32: Ethereal Memory. Starting on July 12 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Ethereal Memory theme, which first debuted with Season 24. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below.

      Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Season Theme
As the Nephalem reflect on Sanctuary's history, instruments of power from a bygone era resurface. These ethereal memories will grant those persistent enough to search for them unimaginable power. Legends of the past will manifest once more in the present, and you must decide how to best use these gifts—for ethereal power is fugacious by nature, and will soon return to being no more than a myth.
For this seasonal theme, we were inspired to reimagine how Ethereal items could manifest in Diablo III, with 21 iconic weapons making a return from Diablo II. In Season 32, Ethereals are rare, powerful, and fleeting items.
Season 32 reintroduces Ethereals, a weapon-type that players will be able to acquire and hunt for in their upcoming seasonal journey. Ethereals will roll a powerful set of affixes, a random Class Weapon Legendary Power and a random Class Passive Power. Ethereals will have unique icons, names, item types, and sounds originally found in Diablo II. For additional details on Ethereals, check out the list below:
Ethereals are account bound and can only be dropped by monsters, chests, and destructibles, but do not require your character to be Level 70 in order to drop. Ethereals cannot be acquired through Kanai's Cube or from Kadala. Ethereal rarity drop rate is set between Ancient and Primal items. There are 3 unique Ethereals per class. Each Ethereal has fixed affixes and rolls one random Legendary Weapon power and one random Class Passive Skill. Only one Ethereal can be equipped at a time. Ethereals ignore item durability loss. Legendary Powers and Class Passive Skills rolled on Ethereals do not stack with the same power equipped through Kanai's Cube, Items or Skills. Ethereals cannot be Enchanted, Transmogrified, Dyed, Reforged, or traded. Ethereals can be augmented. Collecting all 21 Ethereals during the season will reward players with the Feat of Strength, Ethereal Recollection. Players who accomplish this will have all Ethereal transmogrify options available for future seasonal and non-seasonal play. Ethereals only drop in Seasonal play and will not transfer to your non-seasonal character when the season ends. Return to Top
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to players who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 32, this means awards originally available from Season 8 are returning to the Season Journey.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Feast your eyes upon the Teganze Warrior Portrait Frame and Bat pet!

In addition to the Boots and Pants slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn a series of portrait frames that smolder with demonic fires of the Burning Hells. The iconic wings of Andariel will also be available once more, allowing you to truly embrace your inner Maiden of Anguish.

      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons for the past few Seasons and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of 5:

      Seasonal Conquest
Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 32? Here are the challenges you’ll face!
For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at Level 70 on Torment X or higher. Push your way to Greater Rift Level 75 to complete Divinity/Lionhearted. For the fiercest demon slayers, Boss Mode/Worlds Apart is a speed challenge where you’ll need to eliminate the following bosses at Level 70 and Torment X in under twenty minutes:

      Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey (courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift) have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 32:
Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call Crusader – Seeker of the Light Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
