Negativity 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2015 Recently Ive been reading about how you should really only be using glaive toss if youre moving as SV. Whats the reasoning behind this?
Iridar 80 Report post Posted January 27, 2015 Glaive Toss is really weak, and provides only a tiny DPS boost even if you use it on cooldown. Current meta is for SV to use Focusing Shot, which can't be cast on the move, so Glaive Toss is used only in situations where you need to move and everything else is on cooldown. Niix 169 Report post Posted January 27, 2015 Even then, Barrage is a slight gain on 1 target so even then you have no reason not to use Barrage on every fight. Just cast it when you have no Thrill procs or multi procs.

Just cast it when you have no Thrill procs or multi procs. If you have enough focus to cast barrage, then you have enough focus to cast arcane shot as you are moving. GT is used when you are moving, and can't do anything else.

Azortharion 60 Report post Posted January 30, 2015 Barrage is completely worth using on a single-target if it fits the rest of your rotation. That means, no Thrill procs and no Multistrike procs. At all. It also can't push back an Explosive Shot or anything similar.
Minigun 1 Report post Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) It's not about movement, it's about actual damage output. 50 dps is nothing... People are more likely to fuck it up and lose dps. Thrill Proc MS proc Miss Adds Clipping other abilities. If you do any of that, you lost dps, and the window in which it's a gain is so incredibly small it's insane. I might do it myself, but I would never recommend this to someone. Edited January 30, 2015 by Minigun

It's just that there is quite literally 1 fight that is single target, and even that has adds that you could theoretically pad off of for free.
