Hise 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 Hey guys! Killed Mythic Butcher yesterday for the first time, but I'm not happy with my DPS as I am a 677 Subtlety rogue. Warcraft logs: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/3qLGQhVcm2tB7XKy#fight=6&type=summary&source=13 My armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Silvermoon/Hise/advanced Is there anything I can work on / improve from the logs? Thanks in advance, Hise .
Hise 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 I was 675 in the kill, forgot to write that. I also used a Heroic dagger from Ko'ragh with Mythic Twins sword in OH, if you're wondering.
Carrn 284 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 Why do you feel as if your damage was lackluster? Everything that you're doing looks pretty good
Hise 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 Well, I feel like I should be able to output atleast 30k stable DPS on fights where I just stand still and do my rotation properly. All I can read from my logs are a tiny bit low FW uptime (should be around 50% imo) and maybe too many Hemorrhage casts when FW is up. Also Subterfuge is really odd to use imo. I really feel like I'm loosing out on DPS pooling around 80 energy to cast Vanish. How is Shadow Focus compared to Subterfude + Glyph of Vanish atm? Carrn 284 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 Well from your Armory you aren't wearing any gloves or pants so it's hard to say, but you hardly have any Mastery at all. Mastery is Sub's best stat, and is something that you should have a LOT more of to play the spec. Multistrike is alright, but they go hand in hand. Multistrikes from BS and Ambush give Rupture an instant tick, but Mastery will increase the damage of those ticks and of Evis.
Hise 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) Ah okay, so you're saying I should enchant and gem Mastery now? I thought Multistrike > all stats for sub. (yeah btw, I didnt have gloves and pants because I needed to confirm my char on a website, I have em on now ^^) Edited January 29, 2015 by Hise
lipsinch 46 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 I believe that an average quantity of both is the ideal, since one uses the another to improve, although we have a bigger array of uses with Mastery.
Carrn 284 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 Check on Shadowcraft to make sure that what you've got is right, although I suspect that since you don't have much Mastery from gear you'll want some from enchants and gems if possible
Hise 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Here are my updated gearstats and stat weights from an updated Shadowcraft. and How much Mastery do you think I need to get? Like is there any cap before I should go Multistrike again? Or just make it 50/50? Shadowcraft tells me enchant and gem Multistrike. Carrn 284 Report post Posted January 30, 2015 Go with what Shadowcraft says. It does the math, I just look at what I'm seeing and guess, cause I didn't see a lot of Mastery on your gear.
