Holy needing some help with healing rotation

Hey everyone,

 

     I have always raided as holy with my priest as I like it better than disc. Recently with the new BRF fights and with some of the later heroic highmaul fights I feel as if I'm lacking what I should be doing with my ilevel in healing. Here is a link to my armory and a few logs from a few fights. Any help would be appreciated.

Well just looking at your armory, you don't have your rings enchanted which is part of the problem. Also for being 656 your healing looks pretty decent. I don't have a lot of time right now as my raid's about to start to look through all of your logs. I'll check on them later and give you more in depth feedback.

 

Ok had a chance to look over your logs. Your actual numbers are fine however on majority of the fights you have ~30% overhealing which seems excessive. Also you seem to be popping divine hymn when its not needed as 50% of it gets thrown into overhealing. It would appear you guys are actually overhealing the fights and could probably drop a healer to go DPS to help you get less overhealing.

Thank you for your help. I tried a Heroic Highmaul raid today with some of the new gear I received from BRF last night. Tried to not overheal as much and enchanted one of my rings. I recieved a staff last night from BRF but not sure if it is an upgrade. Obviously the int and spellpower are an upgrade but losing the multistrike seems a bit much. Thoughts?

i would go with the 665 staff. More spell benefits all of your spells.

Thanks I enchanted the higher ilevel staff. I've been trying to not overheal as much but my HPS just seems a bit low compared to other healers. I hate to compare so much and I know every fight is different. Was just looking for some advice on doing a little better is all.
