Specs and DPS

Although I use Icy-Veins for setting up my chars, I do look at Noxxic also.  I was just wondering if the following spec/dps comparisons are being seen in practice here:  http://www.noxxic.com/wow/pve/warlock/demonology

 

They show:

Demonology: 20,577 DPS

Destruction:  19,547 DPS

Affliction:  19,168 DPS

 

I'm not really seeing this reflected in the groups I've been raiding with or within the top locks.  Demo is clearly the top spec, but Destruction is clearly the bottom spec, with Affliction in the neighborhood of Demo.

That's only an argument for what is said here, at Icy-Veins : Noxxic's credibility is questionable.

I would avoid it in terms of SimDPS and stuff. Look for actual logs from WarcraftLogs and for charts at Simulationcraft.org

Honestly, with the wealth of real-world logging for every encounter and the complete lack of any encounter that matches what is  being simulated, I'd say simulation data borders on being completely irrelevant.

However, this isn't a trivial difference.  They are claiming to have documented that the Demonology spec has the capability to do 7.3% more damage than Affliction.  That is a very significant finding.  What I'm looking for here is someone that can dispute that finding.
