MadBrewmaster 2 Report post Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) Will work on the missed Keg smash, what kind of time "should" I be having on shuffle? obvs 100% uptime but how many seconds should I be sitting on? before I prioritise 2chi over 4chi explosion e.g. or do i just try to gradually increase it throughout the fight 30 seconds to a minute of excess shuffle uptime is typically good breathing room. And you should ALWAYS prioritize 2 chi Chi Explosions over 4 chi Chi Explosions if we're just talking shuffle uptime. You get 3 seconds per chi with the 2 but only 2.5 seconds per chi with 4. It's less efficient in regards to shuffle uptime generation the more chi you put in. That being said it's typically good form to just go for 3 anyway because purifies (in non-cleave, that is). But yeah. 2 chi is the most optimal for shuffle generation. Edited March 11, 2015 by MadBrewmaster
Brady84 4 Report post Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) 30 seconds to a minute of excess shuffle uptime is typically good breathing room. Even with Chi-Ex ? [i spent too long on mmo-c reading what you/leblue/misume wrote so have never even played with serenity ]What about "cleave" fights like [Excuse my shit gear] Tectus/Brackenspore/Twins I Know 4-chi is going to max the deeps, but I seem to be dropping shuffle if shit hits the fan and I need to zen med/ double guard or w/e when I stick around 6-10s banked Edited March 11, 2015 by Brady84

With Serenity it's just a LOT easier. If your shuffle's dropping and that's causing problems you'd probably be better off trying to make sure that you've got that sorted before focusing on DPS. Either by going Serenity or purifying less outside of 3+ ChEx's. Or if you don't have power strikes, getting that.
