Krazyito 521 Report post Posted February 26, 2015 All right let's lay some cards down on the table again. Haste started to pull ahead of mastery more so when they buff haste across the board for all specs. Though this still didn't convince people to go all out haste. What both stats do equally: Increase total healing of Hots Pro haste: faster cast times, faster GCD, faster hots (less time between ticks) Con haste: because of GCD reduction, will lead to some more mana drain in high demand phases, weak hot ticks relative to what it could be with mastery. Pro mastery: bigger hitting ticks on all hots, harder hitting direct healing spells, harder hitting tranq(big) Con mastery: slower heals, slower hots Now, we all agree that haste and mastery can both be very beneficial and it doesn't matter which one you stack. Hell, you could probably mix the two however you like and it would make a huge impact in your performance. The thing you want to look at before you decide what at you want, is to look at how you heal. Does Rejuv out heal the majority of your spells? - haste Does wild growth top your spells and healing touch have an impact? - mastery Tranq way above Rejuv? - mastery. Mix of tranq and Rejuv? - either, or a mix. The biggest factor of if you want haste or mastery is based on tranq and Rejuv. -- Now to talk about the reason I wanted to make this post. I'm at a point now in my gear (about 24% haste) where I'm starting to feel as if the reduced GCDs are acting against me. I'm starting to think, that if I mix mastery into there more with gems and/or enchants, I can still do some similar healing but conserve mana. Haste has been a fun stat to use. I'm a very big Rejuv user and it usually makes up a lot of my spell usage, but I feel I've gotten to a point where I need to calm down on the haste train and even up the stats a little bit. Anyone having similar feelings or want to put in their 2c?
Ciridan 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2015 Hey there Kraz, Círidan here from Epoch Outland EU, Looking at our own resto druids while healing BRF hc / HM Mythic I can say that a mix of to two is preferd. Our other resto rly stacks haste while I try and focus more on spirit and mastery simple because out Pala's and our healing monk are usualy super fast with topping up people. Having a current geargab with the other healers I just try to focus on both stats while keeping a eye on my INT. Looking at World of logs the past week all I can say is that none of us rly stants out simply because She runs out of mana (haste focussed) and I have lesser gear (mastery focus). A mix of the 2 would be perfect while keeping a eye on your own playstyle like stated in all your guids. As the gear progresses and higher haste levels become more accesable I rly wander were we draw the line while being efficient.

Unbuffed I have 8.3% Haste 25.77% Mastery 1100 Spirit & 2 Int Trinkets so i'm the polar opposite , but came to a similar decision/opinion last couple of weeks Farming content / Trying to rank: I would/could pull more HPS without any major impact by "trading" some mastery for haste Progression wise: I'm liking the look of that Beastlord Spirit trinket [mainly because it "should" allow me to start using HOTW instead of DOC on some fights] Its very difficult for me to argue that mastery > haste, apart from stating the obvious, if your healing "properly" and still going oom then more haste is not the answer. But in no way do I recommend taking it to the extreme I have & "depending on drops" I plan to change ~5% + Enchants over to Haste and then look at it again after some playtime
