cardboardangel 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 I've been playing a hunter since I joined the game, back about six months before Burning Crusade hit. But with 6.1 and the other WoD changes I feel like I don't know my class at all. My main hunter is currently marksmanship but I fear that I'm being a 'huntard'. I dun wanna be a huntard. Orthios 271 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 You'll likely be changing specs depending on the fight, and the most versatile combination of specs (without regard to set bonuses) is to be marksman/beast mastery. With 0 set pieces, MM for ST and 2T cleave fights (Gruul, flamebender, hans/franz, oregorger) and beast mastery for multi-target and cleave fights (beastlord, thogar, maidens), although with 0 set pieces, survival is ahead for cleave style fights. Once you get the 2 set, MM for ST/2T cleave and BM for MT fights and with the 4pc BM is ahead for ST as well as for MT, only loosing to MM on a fight like hans and franz where chimaera shot can cleave. cardboardangel 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 Thank you, Orthios. My two specs ARE MM and BM, so I'm glad of that. My current ilevel is 654, though much is raid finder gear. Being on a roleplaying server I don't do much raiding, but I like the idea of being a competent DPS if a friend is like 'Hey, want to fill in on this normal fight?'
